What happened to Lee Mcgregor?

Was with Probellum iirc. They died a slow death. Hence not fighting for 11 months. There might be more to it but that's what I presume.

Be a hell of a coup if one of the big 3 picks him up. Or someone like Lee Eaton and builds the business around him

100 per cent. It's another off shoot from the MTK successors. Thought it as soon as he didn't join Probellum. Money is the same source as Conlan boxing.

 

McGregor actually signed a co-promo deal with Matchroom over a year ago but never fought on one of their shows. They wanted the Farooq rematch.

 

I didn't know that at all. Said how Farooq career ended. Was so talented.

 

What do you think he'll do next? Is he free promotionally now? Sorry to bug just no idea re his situation

 

Forget the promotors, the best thing he can do is ditch Boxercise and go back to Grant Smith.

Not heard anyone with a bad thing to say about Smith. Heard someone say he was too focused on Grant's career once..but it's his son!

 

Local to me and I hear the odd bits about Sheffield boxing people and everyone speaks highly of Grant both as a bloke and as a trainer. They all say Coldwell and Ingle are absolute bellends

 

He was. His style was unique and he was robbed v McGregor. I think he would have won a world title in time.

 

I'm in Lincolnshire and a lad from our gym used to box amateur in Yorkshire in 90s, said similar re Coldwell. I went off Ingle when he started banging out songs! I thought it was a Gervais type parody song to begin with

 

Never met anyone in our village with a good word to say about Coldwell, even people who have no interest in boxing and just see his persona away from boxing.
