This was a terrible fight, both scared to really commit to anything and no sense of urgency from either side given what was at stake in terms of ranking. I picked Shaw but I don't even give a **** who wins this, both go down in my estimation

 

Still no sense of urgency from Shaw. Forever a sparring partner, never a champ.

I always think "boxing needs the second tier of HWs to get more active." Then I see what that looks like and remember why it doesn't happen.

Boxing is an endurance sport. It's easy to find two 140lbs guys who can wail on each other in an entertaining way for 12 rounds.

There just aren't that many 200lbs+ guys on this earth who can give you a good fight.

I chose watching these two heavyweight bouts over getting an enema. Bad decision.

 

What a bad night of boxing.

 

98-92 Efe Ajagba. No heart from Shaw. It was there for him to win but he took no risk, and he gets no reward.

EA did a little more (and I do mean little) to win the fight.

That was a sparring match.

 

Both guys were way too controlled. A nothing fight.

 

That wasn't the issue here. Neither of these guys are gassed.
