Benn fails drug test

His last few fights headlining have been in front of less than half full arenas yet they think he’s hugely popular even before failed test. I know the Eubank fight sold out but the fact Eubank v Smith has done 21,000 tickets for this weekend shows who the big draw was in that fight.

 

They'll put Benn on a card in London with someone like Johnny Fisher who will boost up the numbers, get a load of the Essex mob in to try and turn it a bit in his favour.

They'll probably even go down the route of it's us vs them, Conor doesn't care for the fans anymore etc etc

 

If you can prove that the process in which these samples were tested was flawed or the correct process was not followed properly then you would certainly have a case to claim contamination was the cause.

 

At this point Hearn and Benn couldn't make themselves look any worse if they just come out and said they don't care about PED cheating as they should be able do what they want because they are so special.

It's down to the fans to police this sort of thing by voting with their feet.

 

That would be too easy. the man is a sadist like he has to be seen to be in charge and right all the time. he likes to insult the fans and others with his you listen to me attitude.

 

Hopefully a real circus ring the clown that he is. He is the shameful reason that turned British boxing in to a circus.

 

It's terrible but I think Benn is part of a much bigger problem. I'm inclined to believe Olubamiwo when he said PED usage was systemic in the sport. I still think Benn should.be banned for a long time I just mean it's part of a massive issue.

In that statement / press release from Conor Benn recently, didn't he write that the truth would come out at the start of the new year ?

Also - is the entire reason for B samples incase of contamination?

I think the fact there are two failed tests has probably played into their hands regarding "the levels".

It gives them angles for stuff like ... "if the level was X in the first test our expert says it can't be Y 5 weeks later ( or whatever it was ) ... therefore the test must have been contaminated or summat"

I've read that you can test clear for Clomid, and then test positive weeks later, or the levels do not decline in a consistent manner, ....although the link for that was later deleted off twitter. So can't offer more than "I think I read". But if they are attacking the validity of the test, then two failed tests might give them some ammo. Wasn't the Whyte clearance based on this sort of thing, comparing multiple tests ?
