What would be the difference between a casual boxing fan and a hardcore one?

    In my opinion,the best test would be this.
    Casual - Finds mayweather fights boring and he runs away
    Can you watch a Mayweather fight, and be genuinely excited and interested by what happens in the ring - Hardcore

    I'm as hardcore as hardcore gets, and I find Mayweather fights boring and think he runs away. Theory destroyed.

    When was the last time you watched Mayweather-Baldomir for fun? You don't have to be casual to be bored to death by a Mayweather fight. He's been in some decent fights, but by and large he's boring AF.

    It is possible to appreciate the artistry of Mayweather's defense in his later years while still finding those fights dull. That would be me.

    “Casual” fan, thinks Floyd is the goat because he went 50-0 not realizing other fighters had reached 50-0 but kept fighting.

    Even most casuals know Sonny Liston. Before the Paul era (which, of course, succeeded the Klitschko era) most people got into boxing either through Mike Tyson/Mayweather during their heydays or being obsessed with Ali and the 60s/70s.
