Is Tyson Fury still a prime fighter?

How do you assess Fury’s current state

  1. Just entering his prime

  2. In his prime

  3. Past his prime

He's been the best heavyweight during a pretty poor and slow era but I think Usyk is his trickiest fight yet

When fighter loses they are normally out of their prime sometime even before losing if their fans think he will not win

Probably is probably just getting to the end of his prime. Most versions of Fury would beat the current crop of heavyweights though. Usyk is the only challenge out there, there’s something about him which tells me it’ll be more interesting than people think.

It’s difficult to say . He is and he isn’t or He’s in a different prime.

Around the klitscko fight he was in his prime in terms of reflexes, agility etc. He was fighting a completely different style which I know is obvious.

He’s lost some of that evasiveness and agility (has he lost a step in perceived agility/elusiveness because of his different style, or has he employed the style cos he realised he is changing physically??) but is more destructive and dangerous physically to other fighters now.

Whatever version you prefer as his prime,I think it’s fair to say he’s still pretty solid physically and mentally and not really deteriorating yet.

Who’d win out of 2015 slip and slide fury or 2022 seek and destroy fury? **** knows

Added what, a month or two to Wlad? He was much closer to forty than thirty ninth bday. Same for Cunningham. Point is, neither was anywhere near prime. Fury is going to go through his entire career without even facing a prime top fighter.

No way to know that, since he has never faced anyone prime who is any good.

Nah dude you added like four month. The Fury haters excuses getting funnier by the year. Dude is undefeated and had more top matches, won in the Mecca of boxing, won in Germany, done it all man. Nobody comes close lol

never faced a good fighter in their prime. Simply rounded them off to their closest birthday.

I think Wilder was and still is a decent fighter, not the best boxer but the KO's speak for themselves.

all three guys have garbage resumes. with how infrequently heavyweights fight anymore and promoters' aversion to risk, it may be impossible to have a good one anymore.
