Here's something I find interesting, people keep talking about the running issue. Most of the Floyd fans claim that going up in weight has forced him to move more. Most of the Floyd critics of course claim that he runs all the time. However, Floyd did most of his running at 130 and 135(For the Chavez, Castillo, and Corrales fights he put some good milege on the canvas). Since moving to 140, there really hasn't been much in terms of running. I dare someone to make an argument that he ran in any of his fights at 140. Ditto for the Mitchell, Judah and Hatton fights at 147. He really didn't start running in the Baldo fight until about round 9. By that time, the fight was over and he had damaged his hand. Under normal circumstances, Floyd would have no need to run against Baldo. Baldo is slow as **** and doesn't hit very hard. He's also not much of a pressure fighter. There really wasn't much in terms of running in the Hoya fight either. He stood his ground pretty well(even Merchant remarked that the fight was toe to toe action in the 5th).
it shows you don't think .. boxing is not only a physical game, its mental .. your not going to alway be the fastest , the strongest , the biggest , or harder puncher sorry but we are not all equal when it come to physical gifts but we can equal out the playing field by using your brains to create a way to win . anyone can get in the ring and fight someone bigger and get knocked the **** out , then use the lame excuse "I tried but he was bigger" It not so easy being the smaller fighter and figuring out a way to win .. that take balls .. the head can be used for more theN just a target and a hair style in boxing.
