I just don't see it with Anderson. He's getting quite a push already, too. He gets guys out of there with volume, but he takes a LOT of clean shots in the process. Prospects who get hit flush like that on their rise tend to get stopped after a few steps up.

Anderson is good & Jerry Forrest was a good step-up fight but despite him winning well it also demonstrated his vulnerabilities.

I mean, watching Forrest catch him repeatedly with overland lefts out of a southpaw stance it wasn't hard to envisage what would happen if someone like Richard Torrez was hitting him with those punches.

Anyway, he's only 23 & the point of those fights is to learn. He's clearly a potent force offensively & is entertaining to watch. The kind of pressure he brings would be difficult for any heavyweight to deal with.

It is important for him to stay active, he is young and still developing...

Anderson should fight Franklin, and Joshua should have rematched Whyte. :deal:

There's zero sense in keeping them out of the ring for the first three months of 2023. Both of them should've had matches lined up for late January/early February

He’s not ready for a top 15 opponent yet but think they can find another trial house for him to gain experience. Needs to improve his defense for sure.

Can’t be a Paul Williams at HW.

That's great. I'm excited to watch all three. Anderson's win over Forrest was simply great. Zhang, Hunter, Pulev and Jermain Franklin certainly never steamrolled Forrest like that. Hell, Zhang and Hunter didn't even get a win.

Maybe Jared Anderson should be fighting Anthony Joshua next.:yaay

I'd take Anderson over a lot of heavyweights right now. Where's Dillian Whyte? ;)

Sure he is. He's exciting as hell. And nobody outside the top 15 can go the distance with him. Forrest was a great step up and he blew Forrest away.

I'd take Anderson over Whyte this year.

I think he needs to improve his defense before subsisting on top 15s and better. Not that I think the lower top 15 are all that great, but Anderson needs to break some bad habits. He is indeed fun, tho, certainly more so than Jalolov.

He has time. The big money fights will not avail themselves to him until the Fury/Usyk/Wilder/Joshua quartet are off the scene or fully fading. There's only so much Saudi money to go around. I could see him against a low end top 15 guy at the end of this year, followed by a top 10 opponent in 2024 and on from there.

I could see Anderson walking over Dillian Whyte and Joseph Parker this year. But Hearn wouldn't let Whyte anywhere near Anderson, after that Franklin fight.

Maybe Warren/Arum are ready to cash out Parker. Parker could get busted at any time with all that drug trafficking/money laundering nonsense going on.

    Anderson-Parker ... let's see that.

Parker struggled against a cruiserweight, given his lack of will and guts Anderson would very likely beat him...

Now they just need to find a willing mexican cab driver or line cook to get in there with them

Good to see the prospects staying active and not going the once a year route.
