Is Lennox Lewis the best head to head fantasy heavyweight fighter?

I think his style and physical attributes would mesh well against possibly the broadest group of heavy’s, yes. Muhammad Ali is potential rival for that spot though

 

It's between him and Holmes IMO.

I’ll go with Ali and let me add Liston as a dark horse. He just seems to have had everything. Only person I favour over Liston with confidence is Ali himself.

For me Lennox is a little overrated. Not even career wise but also just a tiny little bit when it comes to h2h. His chin will be a factor...sooner or later. Also he has so few fights over all. Although i have Joe Louis on tie top spot HW legacy together wit Ali...i just don't see him so high h2h. I just have the lack of imagination how he handles realy quick moving guys like Ali or Tyson or how he deals with bigger reach + an excellent jab like Liston or Holmes. So in my opinion:

1. Ali
2. tie: Holmes, Holyfield, Liston, Tyson (can't really order them)
6. Lewis
7. tie: Louis / Foreman

But i really admit from his pure potential and physical advantages you can easily rank him on 2.

 

Head to head discussions always focus on height and weight and minimize everything else so probably. 50% of posters here would probably pick Joe Joyce to beat Joe Louis

We have all heard the saying that a puncher always has a chance, but really it is a technical boxer who always has a chance.

 

Lewis has sound fundamentals. That combined with his size and the fact he's a big hitter is why he's ranked high H2H.

Anyway, I'm going to go against the grain here (all in prime form):

2. Pre-exile Ali
3. Tie between Lewis and Holmes. Who ranks higher depends on the opponent.
4. FOTC Frazier
5. Louis
