I posted on this forum a couple of months ago and said ‘ Yarde is more than capable of beating Beterbiev’
I stand by this but, the stars will have to align and everything must come together for Yarde, on the night. Yarde has the will and the strength, but I fear it may not be enough unless Beterbiev has a bad night. I do believe Yarde will be in the fight, and can see him hurting Beterbiev. I can also see Beterbiev hurting Yarde and possibly grinding him down.
Might sound a little contradictory, but I go for Beterbiev via late stoppage, but if Yarde can put in the shift of his career, he can pull it off.

I don't see a guy who struggled with Lyndon Arthur having anything for Beterviev tbh.

The drunken ghost of shot Kovalev was having his way with a more confident version of Yarde.

He's not capable though. That's just stupidity

I don't think you realise just how excellent Beterbiev is. His amateur pedigree/history and everything

He may be 38 but hes showed no signs of slowing down , his last performance against Smith Jr was just as beastly as ever knocking him out in 2 rounds

100% KO ratio. Beat much better fighters than Yarde such as Gvozdyk. Power, fundamemtals, skills , strength, toughness, chin hes better than Yarde in every department. I just can't see how the **** you can say 'Yarde is more than capable of beating Beterbiev'. There's levels and you'll see on saturday night how he was NEVER capable

Can anyone tell me why Beterbiev only fights approx twice a year since turning pro ? Is it because he was a good amateur and high risk low reward ?

He had legal issues with one of his promoters iirc which kept him pretty inactive for a couple of years with the pandemic hitting soon after.

Can't recall any details but it's a huge shame as I believe he's one of the best fighters of the last decade and should have more wins to his name.

Proper buzzing to see him destroy Yarde tonight.

    Just a personal objective preference.

I remember watching the Curry / Honeyghan fight the following day (Sunday teatime) on ITV, an astounding victory away from home.

The reason I posted as I did is because of the levels that I believe exist between Beterbiev and Yarde. The gap is huge whilst fighting away to a P4P King in Curry was also huge.

Both fighters were given a slim to no chance of winning their fights.

The general consensus is that Yarde is going to get wiped out clean tonight. Imagine if he actually, against the odds, wins to scupper the Bivol superfight...

Anyway, it's only my opinion based upon a supremely difficult task that Yarde faces.

Yarde has a punchers chance but he is going to probably get stopped in about round 6

    Beterbiev is elite

    Yarde is fringe world.

The step up is too far imo. There's nothing to suggest AB is on the slide, so other than a punchers chance for Yarde I expect, AB by k.o.

Yep Beterbiev starts as favourite but upsets do happen and Yarde needs to go for broke to win.
