From purley being in the ring with a title holder - yes it is.
But being seasond to go in there to have a good chance of winning the fight, holding the belt, money and prestige he's a long way short.
He needs a hail mary to beat AB if he does he goes to look pretty good. Only 1 tough fight in his career and a champion but I can't see it. We find out in a few weeks.

    Round 4

Im thinking Round 1 and 2 just warming up feeling out. Round 3 Beterbiev lets his hands go , Yarde is hurt but survives the round. Round 4 Yarde is either doing chicken dances or out flat on the canvas, done.

Yarde will be soundly beaten but the hate for him is unwarranted. He took a major risk and was found out vs Kovalev but he gave him fits early on. Then stepped down a level to be beaten by Arthur but put it right immediately. He’s as worthy of a shot as any other challenger but is pre judged due to his promotion and persona. At least he’s giving it a go!

How was taking Kovalev fight a major risk? What other options did he have and was there a better chance to win a world title? I definitely don't agree with that

taking risks is fighting other domestic/fringe world level rivals with the danger that you lose and turn out to not actually be that good, instead of using the WBO catapult to go straight to a lucrative “story of the fight” loss

Like he did with Arthur. I've been critical of Yarde in the past but Arthur was a risky fight and he lost it only to brilliantly avenge that loss.

Agree. He's actually a decent lad. His trainer is a bit of a moron but he's not Yarde.

I would like to see AB v Bivol but not convinced it will ever happen. So if Yarde wins tonight i would be quite pleased for the lad.

But don't think he's got much chance tbh.

Think Yarde might stun Beterbiev, then unload thinking he's hurt him. Beterbiev to have a tight guard soak it up and Yarde has minimal success with the attack, or thinks Beterbiev is more hurt then he is.

Beterbiev then stops him as Yarde starts to physically decline as the fight goes past 5.

Saying stoppage with 8 to play it safe.

The ONLY value bet I could find here was YARDE points at 20/1

it’s not impossible, this guy is 38, yarde should be able to pace twelve. Twenty to one? Home fighter home promotion, Frank and Bob have a piece of Beterbiev if he wins? Or is yarde being given a shot at greatness because they believe he is at that level?

Twenty to one. Yeah I’ll bite.
