He thought he was a movie star....in fact I believe he actually was.
Chavez was just there to fight. He didn't have time to sit around and let the media blow smoke up his ***

Thanks for clarifying. It turns out Sanchez played himself, albeit as a Jr Lightweight world champion, in the 1983 film The Last Fight.

    Haven't seen it. I'm sure it's great.

Yet another sign of ultimate narcissism, playing yourself in a movie about... yourself.
I'm surprised they didn't just name the movie "Salvador Sanchez"

Actually it does say something to a certain degree. How do you think analyst come up with their predictions or the casinos come up with their odds, Its by likely scenarios.

Example, Cowdell was a pretty even fighter using reach and the outside and then also the inside I would say 50/50. Chavez was known to close the distance and take away his opponents reach and by doing this there goes half of Cowdell's game. With Chavez's consistent inside pressure not allowing Cowdell to fall back on his reach I don't see this ending well for Cowdell. This is a likely scenario.

Now lets look at Sanchez.. Sanchez had more success with Cowdell from the outside then when Cowdell put on the pressure. Again, Chavez didn't use the outside and depended on constant pressure on the inside so a likely scenario would be Chavez taking away Sanchez's reach and out working Sanchez on the inside.

I'd favour Sanchez he excelled against pressure fighters, and I think he has the chin, stamina, skills, to win a decision. The only thing is we don't know if Sanchez would be quite as effective at Super Featherweight, so that's an unanswered question which could give Chavez the edge.

Obviously, I haven't watched the movie. However, according to Wikipedia, this movie is not about Salvador Sanchez.

What are you basing these character assumption on about Sanchez? I can’t find anything really on the guy- his hair?
