Its hard to get a more cinematic-looking knockdown than this one. That pose Ali did afterwards is quite possibly one of the most famous photoshoots in boxing history.

The KO of Walcott is hard to top. Not just for its own inherent qualities but the camera was beautifully framed on the action - like it would’ve been for a movie. Imagine if we had the same vision of the KO from the other side - that would’ve been something. If I’d been alive and saw that in real time, I would’ve been seriously concerned about Joe arising back up ever again.

Interesting that Ali only came in at 206 lb for the Liston rematch. That naturally made him look more shredded, but he also appeared to have bulked a bit in the muscle dept. Even though Liston came in lighter himself at 215 1/4 lbs, he still held a greater advantage over Ali than he did in the first fight. Though it was all too brief, had it gone longer, I think the fight held good potential for being among if not the best performances of Ali's career. He certainly looked super-fast, super mobile and ready to go for the short time that it did last.

For me its Frazier vs Ellis. That left hook was just perfect and the way Ellis fell makes it so much better.
