Here I think we have a much closer fight. I actually think it goes the distance. I would think Vitaly gets a tight decision.
Vitali beats him. Leans back all day landing jabs and right hands. His chin will see him through some scares.
The thing with Vitali is that hes a bit of a myth in regards to H2H match ups. Now don't get me wrong a 6'7 Heavyweight with a good chin, is obviously going to be a major threat in H2H match ups. But regarding his actual wins over real elite Heavyweights, well that's the problem there isn't any. Vitali's record is pretty forgettable and mediocre outside of his famous losses, I mean honestly what is Vitali's best win ? Adamek ? Peter ? Johnson ? So overall whilst Vitali regarding his attributes should do well in H2H match ups. Regarding his actual best wins, there is no real evidence that he could beat some of the best ATG Heavyweights. Considering he couldn't even beat an old out of shape Lennox Lewis, which really should've been a passing of the torch moment, as Lewis was ready to be taken in that fight and Vitali failed to do it.
I could count on the fingers of one hand, the boxers I'd favour over Vitali in hypothetical H2H bouts. But Big George is one of them.
Vitali. His movement and the ability to feel/sense punches coming was better than Wlads. Plus that long 6’7 range and strength to keep George from outmuscling him in there. It would be a steady dose of jabs and awkward hooks and occasional 1-2’s for George. UD for Vitali against 2nd career George Late stoppage win for Vitali against prime George with a few scary moments here and there.
Big george cuts the ring off on him and forces him to fight a war. Looking at the lewis fight, i must say that lennox clearly edged Vitali in the "strength" department, and knowing that Lennox was not as strong as foreman, (according to common opponents), i see george handily winning a slugfest like this since he was stronger and a far harder puncher. Vitali' chin would probably save him from a knockout.....probably, but in the end i think george would cut big brother Vitali to pieces. Foreman by mid TKO on cuts.
Out of shape Lewis is a myth brits use to make excuses for why he was losing the fight. Lewis was never out of shape for a fight in his life. He was a blatant user of HGH, which is why he had a bulging gut that was still ripped towards the end.
Lewis was in lesser shape for his last fight, & complacent & under-trained, especially at altutude, against Rahman 1. Your only evidence he used PEDs is his look? I do not see him looking like any HGH monsters-nor did he have near the muscle mass of those pro bodybuilders. Show some photos that you think are damning. I am no Lewis, but even at a 42" waist I had some abdominal definition, just how some people store fat.
