I like the WBC belt, too, but I cast the same disparagement upon the organization that I do for the rest.

WBO > IBF > WBC > WBA imo

I still consider the WBC to be the most prestigious and I think the IBF belt looks the nicest. If I was a boxer I would want the WBC+Ring, personally

What annoys me is that each of these sanctioning bodies could easily be no.1 if they changed a few minor things. I'm sick of bizarre IBF mandatories. I'm sick of sh1tty WBC vacant title fights for MexiAmerican fighters. I'm sick of the WBA Regular garbage. I'm sick of WBO interim/intercontinental titles being lumped into everything. Each org also has clear promoter bias as well

I also secretly filter people who bring up the lineal 'title' because it is pure midwitism that has no relevance outside of forum culture. I also, to a slightly lesser degree, filter people who want to scrap all sanctioning bodies and return boxing to this pre-WW2 golden age where boxing was essentially an American+satellites sport. Because going back to that is completely realistic in a world where almost every single continent has a solid boxing grassroots, and no, the regional/national/continental title system isn't a good enough replacement

Either IBO, WBU or WBF for me.
