Honestly I think Khabib shoots a double leg each round and slowly grinds him down like Khabib-Poirier Have been saying this for years now. I don't care if Khabib or DC or any of these other shills claim Islam is more technical - Khabib had far better intangibles
Khabib is less athletic and less technical compared to Islam. But he's way more gritty and a true grinder. He gives a **** if he doesn't get a TD and eats one. He'll try it again while Islam can be gunshy and hesitant. I think Khabib is the better FIGHTER. Not necessarily the better athlete. I think on paper Volk has a better chance to beat Khabib than he does against Islam. I can visualize a similar fight to Khabib vs. Gleison Tibau who is also a short, stocky guy with decent TDD and who gave Khabib absolute hell, arguably beat him.
Islam has been one-punch KO'd, Khabib had a granite chin. If your chin is relatively poor it messes up all of your intangibles, David Price was a classic example of this, Joshua to a lesser degree. I don't know if Islam is a better athlete, more technical etc. but Khabib's the better fighter regardless.
