Bro, no one picked opponents like Floyd did during his WW run.
Floyd picked winnable fights vs opponents who just had big wins:
Marquez beat Juan Diaz in FOTY.
Mosley KO´d Margarito and resurrected his career.
Ortiz upset Berto in a FOTY candidate.
Cotto avenged his loss to Margarito.
Guerrero was on a nice string on wins at 147.
    Alvarez beat Trout.
    Maidana beat Broner.

There are many reasons Floyd sold so many PPV´s, one of them being that his opponents were often enjoying career peaks.
How you can compare that to Fury is beyond me.

You've just proven my point mate. Floyd DID cherrypick, and he cherrypicked intelligently, and part of the reason why he was ABLE to cherrypick was due to how deep everything from let's say 135-175 is. Deep, deep divisions with relatively small weight differences. Fury can't drag people up from 175 can he hurrrrr

And by your logic, to give a recent example, Fury fought Chisora after possibly Chisora's best win. Is that a coincidence?

Based on Usyk's entire career to date, what makes you think he wants this fight only for a payday?

Not solely nothing is ever that black and white. Fury is the only thing left for him money wise and achievement wise and he wants to retire this year.

You clearly know very little about Usyk. It's not about the actual figure but about the principle of the equal split that matters to him. You will never hear him talking about "half a billy". What he wants is respect. You don't disrespect the unified HW champion of the world by offering him anything less than 50%, especially when his British PPV sales generated far, far more in the UK than Fury ever did.

Wladimir Klitschko vs. Tyson Fury – 545,000
Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury – 450,000
Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder II – Unreleased by BT Sport
Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III BT Sport Box Office 300,000
Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte – Unreleased by BT Sport
Tyson Fury vs Derek Chisora III – Unreleased by BT Sport

And even though the ridiculous "title defence" against Chisora was so bad that BT Sport didn't want to publicly share the numbers, we actually do know that it was a total flop. Hearn claimed it was 300k, Warren claimed it was 500k. So even if we believe Warren (and that's a very big if), the sales were still ****, especially when you consider the following numbers:

Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tony Bellew – 603,000
Oleksandr Usyk vs. Dereck Chisora Sky Box Office 1,059,000
Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk Sky Box Office 1,232,000
Oleksandr Usyk vs. Anthony Joshua II Sky Box Office 1,249,000

So, the "people's champion" and the "British PPV king" fights against popular Del Boy at Wembley - and best case scenario it sold half of what the fight featuring "a foreigner middleweight midget" generated. Oops.

Bottom line: Fury has absolutely no valid claim to ask for more than 50%. Usyk has been a household name in the UK since the Bellew fight. He is popular, he generates sales in the UK, and he has three of the four belts while even British fans started to get absolutely sick of Fury and his embarrassing family. Just go to any social media page of Fury and see it for yourself - people are not happy about the Gypsy Queen. The cult is getting smaller, mate.

You are a complete loser and not a true boxing fan. If Fury fights anyone but Usyk next fight it’s a disgrace. A boxing fan would demand it not talk about it like he’s a pretend promoter.

This, all of this. There's fan loyalty and then there's useless trolling. No honest boxing fan can cheer for Fury's disgraceful shenanigans with which he drags the HW division through the mud. People thought the Klithcko brothers' era was bad. This is way worse. The division is full of exciting, talented fighters, but it is being stalled and mocked by Fury. Up until now, his moronic casual fans always gave him a free pass so he could get away with anything, but thankfully, the tide is noticeably turning. Even his fans are getting fed up with him. He can't f**k off from the sport soon enough. I don't care if he retires or gets beaten, I just can't want him gone from the sport along with his riff-raff family.

I always laugh when Fury makes all these statements, but he's not trustworthy and anything he says is always in doubt. You never know if he's lying or telling the truth, kinda like Bob Arum. I expect constant streams of lies from promoters, but not from ATGs.

I've read many times that Fury could care less about the money, only cares about showing everyone that he's the best. If that's true, he should've figured out a way to fight a whole lot more and fight everyone that mattered. Maybe Fury could've suggested something like taking an extremely small purse, say half or quarter of a million per fight, I'll bet they could get him anyone he wanted in the ring!

His record is absolute crap. He should've fought everyone that matters by now instead of fighting bums every 5 yrs.

You guys are getting angry about something that hasn't happened yet.

I think Fury V Usyk is looking promising again after weeks of radio silence. Franks wasted a couple of months trying to get a hundred million out of the Saudis but they weren't playing ball so now they've had to renegotiate for Wembley.

    It'll happen. Probably.

Come on Belly, choose your beating already. Slow and methodical at the hands of a giant juggernaut, or getting your ears & eyebrows boxed clean off by the middleweight, quit stallin', or even rematch Wallin'. Can't fight primitive caveman boxing styles like Wilder forever, or can you, maybe they are signing a 4th fight as we type.

I do agree that the fight should definitely be in the UK though and Usyk may need to take the short end of the carrot to get Furry in the ring. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him take 2 birds in the bush.

People on the general forum LOVE debating things like this. I couldn't imagine anything worse on this forum than getting so emotionally invested about issues like splits, who's the "a" side and whether world class prize fighters are "scared of eachother" that you get locked into heated never ending debates on here.

It seems lots of people on this forum have genuine trouble understanding what is a reliable source and what is a rumour with no sources (ie the Wilder thing the other day). I think though that lots of them don't mind overlooking this because it adds fuel to these never ending debates and whatever their given agenda is.
