The ref should have ignored that towel, he's under no obligation to listen to the corner.

Either Ben forgot there was 10 seconds left or he just wanted the praise for ""saving"" his man.

Guys...

look at the delayed reaction from Wood to the towel...he reacted like 2-3 seconds later to the towel because his brain was god damn fried by that left hook. And the towel came in right in front of his eye / face.

That was a very good stoppage and probably saved his career. And maybe more.

 

Lara won the fight. But he showed a lot of flaws in his boxing. And I mean A LOT.

And woods lost, but bth, the only thing I didnt like about him is that he doesnt like to be hit (that's the reason why I predicted lara victory by KO in round 10). But he proved to have a very good and solid boxing skills. Unfortunately, to be a top fighter you can't hate to be punched. If you hate to be punched, then you dont have what it takes.

 

The round was almost over he should have been given an opportunity to finish. He was winning the damn fight.

 

I think Lara played possum or the equivalent of rope-a-dope effectively.

 

Stop complaining about the stoppage. It was definitely the right decision.

 

Had to be drilled into his head during each round, to keep it long and straight.
