Recovering from almost being KTFOd by Michael Conlan is not the same as recovering from almost being KTFOd by Lara. Sure, it was a **** stoppage but what would've made Davidson a scumbag is if he let him go out and take a life altering beating.

True I could imagine if he threw it back out and Lara clocks him with the very next punch for the massive KO.

Definitely an early stoppage, but I kind of understand the decision to throw in the towel. Lara hits very hard.

I really don’t think so. Before the fight started it was one of those fights I was not sure how it would play but after 2 rounds I said in this thread that Lara would win because he could get to Wood and you could see the visible effects. Woods trainer had saved him for another day. He was not going to recover. He went down real heavy and when he got up he was not in control of his legs.

 

Get the hell out of here with "Wood wasn't up for it".
Went tooth and nail and knocked Conlan out after being badly knocked down and ate some big shots in this fight and gave as good as he got.
If you're going to insinuate Wood wanted a way out of this fight then you have no clue what you're talking about.
