I think Tommy Fury is in big trouble against Jake Paul.

What was that horrendous sky card in Newcastle where there was a DJ? that felt like someone's 15 year old nephew had been allowed to have an input

Out of interest have just watched the Anderson silva fight and jake paul surprised me
He's got decent power, can take a shot and didn't freeze on the big occasion, you could he was trying to set up the overhand right so he was in fairness boxing to a plan
I'm not saying he's a future world champion but he clearly is taking it very seriously, much as I would like to I can't hate on the guy

Fury’s bottled it and not signed the contract for the bet they both agreed to yesterday. Fighting men my arse!

Paul is actually quite a decent amateur, especially for someone who started so late. However, due to his celebrity and this niche, he's been having his "amateur career" in front of large PPV audiences billed as pro fights, against former fighters

I do think this is the night his carefully planned marketing and fight picking all comes crumbling down, but amateurs do have setbacks and losses, so if you view it that way it's not the worst thing to lose against someone against Tommy Fury

The problem is he is billing himself as a certified pro, so any loss will be held against him. Will be interesting to see if he can maintain PPVs after a loss. I suspect interest will wane then

I'm working on Sunday night so it'll be the fight live via the radio for myself.

The fact that real boxing fans like you are prepared to listen on the radio is a credit to Jake Paul really. He’s really good at marketing. Compare interest in this to the mayweather fight tonight. No one cares about that.

News update. Fury's failed a test. It was a primary school spelling test tho so he can still fight while he appeals it.

Anybody placed any bets on the event?

After giving my head a wobble and looking at it logically. Surely Makabu should be flattening Jack and the same goes for Fury against Jake Paul. I've just backed the outcome with a 100 quid double and I'm surprised I get 825 back if it comes off.

It’s going to be a fun watch I reckon. Over the years there have been many a fight where it’s everything to prove vs everything to lose and that sort of fight has a history of not going to plan and throwing up some big surprises. Tyson v Douglas is a huge example, albeit much more high profile. Regardless of the outcome Jake Paul has managed to perform a masterclass in marketing himself which he has basically earned a fortune from doing since he was still a kid. I’m warming to the lad. He says lots of controversial things but mostly they’re true. Up to this point he has delivered on everything he’s said he would do and in impressive fashion. The Anderson silva fight is not to be sniffed at. He actually has a pro boxing record and fairly recently beat JCC jnr which may not be a mega scalp these days but he did it very easily. Jake Paul managed to get the win though. If fury is taking this lightly in any sense or allowed him to get under his skin, he could be in a bit of trouble

I think Fury will win. I am unsure whether Paul's fights have been fixed too. However, Paul is clever and why would I end this boxing business losing to Tommy Fury when he would earn more money potentially from fighting KSI.

Do we have any idea of the ring walk time for Fury vs Paul?
Curiosity has got the better of me.
