This fight can go either way, which makes it a good one. Two young undefeated fighters with legit KO power. I like Garcia in this one by KO but, unlike Runmy, I ain’t no Quasimoto! Haha.
As usual, good video. I think Garcia will get the win, but I can also see Davis winning, my reservation is Tank hasn't fought anyone dangerous, while Garcia did and prevailed.
Great vid Rummy! Your points were well laid out and right on the $$$ as usual. Definitely psyched for this one, absolutely no idea on the outcome I'll call it a draw lol. I do think, however, that this fight will tell us a thing or two about both men!
Great vid as always. The prediction therein (complexion and outcome) seems to pull into focus the general, majority feel on this bout - with sound rationale. For the fun of it, I like to examine all possibilities that could see the perceived underdog emerge victorious - a methodology that can involve a touch of confirmation bias. I would call this approach Anatomy of an Upset Before The Fact. One thing re upsets, they often involve a specific, generally held, iron clad assumption that turns out to be totally wrong. Perhaps there are some more common “usual suspect” assumptions than others that figure to be somewhat false and contribute heavily to miscalculations and outcomes that are ultimately deemed to be “upsets”. For this fight, I could wonder if that assumption is that Garcia cannot hurt Davis in ways that Gervonta can hurt Ryan. It appears Davis is reasonably assessed to have greater durability than Garcia - but that doesn’t necessarily suggest that Davis will be as impervious to Garcia’s power as the majority believe. Shocking as it might be to some - IF we saw Garcia visibly rock Davis early, then some pre fight calculations might be hastily scribbled out and rewritten. The only other factor I’ll touch on is speed. Garcia is super fast - but for that to be a significant factor against the quick in his own right Davis , Ryan can’t be just faster, he would have to be notably faster. I’m talking the type of speed advantage that can make a difference but an advantage that is hard to guess at and often only possible to accurately quantify when the two combatants actually proceed to engage. Ryan “might” see a more effective edge in this department <speed> than what has been generally forecast. So yeah, I’m gunning for and trying to rationalise an upset - but what do I know? I’m not Nostril-Damus or that other guy whose name rings a bell but I do have a “hunch” on this one. Garcia KO/TKO round 8-9. If I’ve got/get this right, to be sure, you can Tank me after the fight.
I agree Rummy, I lean towards Tank and believe Garcia will look good at moments but as you said ,I've seen Tank take time and study his opponents before taking them out. At some point Garcia will set his feet and punch with Tank and then he'll get hit and I think he's more durable than Garcia ,I was thinking 10th round TKO..
