Heard rumours that callum smiths fight at the echo has been pulled? Bigger fight for him or genuine injury? Shame as he seems to be wasting his prime years in underwhelming fights
Yeah, it's an injury. I couldn't be bothered to find out what, so underwhelmed am I by the whole affair.
Once again, like all fighters who've made a bit of a name for themselves, he's been hugely overpaid and therefore has very little interest in fighting regularly. The one thing many modern boxers don't like very much is boxing.
definitely boring as **** in interviews. But why does that even matter. I watch boxing for what they do in the ring
He needs to be more active. Obviously injuries are a different issues but he just doesn't seem to be able to build big momentum to help him secure huge fights.
4 fights since Nov 2019, two of which were done by the 4th round, wasting his career like so many modern fighters
Callum Smith is well on the way to being Kell Brook 2.0 (minus the gear, questionable decisions to go back to apartments with strange men and the stabbings). I mean in the sense if things dont change he will look back at his career and wonder did he really make the best of things m In reality Brook should of pushed on after beating Porter (jumping in with Golovkin wasnt a smart move imo, even if i do give him credit for bravery) and Smith should have fought better opposition after Groves (he fougt once against N'Dam in a year after Gr9ves) and probably moved up to LHW tho he probably doesnt care after the money he got for Canelo. Even when he has moved to LGW it been against C-class opposition.
