Yeah, what's the carrot here? Might I submit the suggestion: ALL the beer in Australia, leaving a whole country to die of thirst?

Physically Wilder has all the tools a heavyweight has ever needed. It's what is between his ears that is a problem. He could have been a HW Tommy Hearns.

Fury has not done enough to be in the same mouth as Holmes, and everyone knows that I am not even a big Holmes guy.

Unless you really see a glaring rock-scissors-paper type thing going on, you always go with the proven great.

Holmes outclasses him pretty easy less the weight I guess , as Fury really didnt do much against an over ratted sloppy fighter like Wilder ,, at least in the first 2 fights

I’d pick Holmes but as @Barrf highlighted - a reasonably clean fight could/would make all the differences.

That’s why I believe the so called SHW’s are nearing or have already hit terminal improvement.

The tactics of leaning, holding and mauling, while being givens unfortunately, are not attributes of or arguments for the new and improved super sized fighters - frequent use of such tactics actually reflects a drifting away from the concept of pure boxing.

The benefits of a ref keeping SHWs honest in that regard it at least two fold - the SHWs don’t get to unduly stifle or tire their smaller opposition - and, they also don’t get to have much needed periodic rests for themselves.

In an open, clean contest, I believe their size related stamina issues and lacking in boxing skill would be far better peeled back, more obviously exposed and taken far better advantage of.

Holmes is an all-timer and probably the most under appreciated heavyweight. Perhaps only Ali and Louis have a better resume. That said, Fury is basically a 6-9, 270lb Larry Holmes.

Holmes is one of the few heavyweights that beats Fury convincingly. Holmes by decision.

I have to agree with this. 6'7", 83in reach, huge power, good hand speed, good chin, plenty of heart. Unfortunately he fell in love with his power and neglects the rest.

Holmes would get massively irritated by Fury's jab and leaning maneuvers. He finds the perfect range for the jab in three. By the eighth the right hand is landing regularly. Fury is stumbling around at the end of the 12th, gets stopped in 14 if it's a 15 rounder.

Holmes' jab would win him a decision.

Larry Holmes gets a decision. Perhaps not the most pleasing to watch fights but at times we'd maybe see flashes of a dog fight.
