when Fury arose from the second knockdown, as some refs might have done, would there have been public uproar, or might have seemed like a legit stoppage? No, I don’t have an anti-Fury agenda, before you accuse me. If you remember Lewis-McCall I, it was kind of the opposite situation.
Many refs would have waved it off instantly there. But Jack Riess guided by god knew Lazarus would rise again.
I wouldn’t have complained as I was shocked to see it allowed to continue. Usually when someone goes down that violently the 3rd man in the ring usually errors on the side of caution. Glad that Jack let it go on. Fury was putting on a masterclass for the majority of the fight. coincidentally I can’t remember the last time Fury used his legs as much in a fight? Has he since that fight? Seemed to become more of a brawler at least while fight Wilder anyway. his style did seem to change up with kronk gym… strategic or out of necessity?
Dumb! With all the nonsense going on in the world, you honestly believe God was really interested in a boar meat eating, alocolic drug using, obese boxer? Oh I am God. There are continents of starving people, my children. My children are being victimized and brutalized. I will see that they are taken care of, OH WAIT! First I must guide Jack Riess to ensure he prevents Tyson Fury from getting knocked out. LOL
If he waved it off as he was getting up perhaps their might have been, but when he was starched out probably not. In the end it was the right decision as Fury came back stronger to end the round.
The sun is busy keeping massive planets in orbit, conducting nuclear fusion, and traveling around the galaxy, yet it also takes the time to ripen an individual apple on a tree in Maryland. This is similar to how God has very important things to do, but also has time to ensure Fury beat the count against the devil worshipping Wilder
Two times Fury got lucky with a ref decision to continue. The nasty gash he got against Wallin would also have resulted in a ref or doctor stoppage in most cases.
Very few would have complained if the ref waived it off as soon as Fury hit the ground. Many refs would have stopped the fight. I think the ref did the right thing by giving the fighter a count.
Plenty of fighters have fought with cuts like that or worse It's very specific types of cuts which can damage sensitive areas around the eyes or lip that doctors will stop on. The smaller cut on Fury's eyelid was probably the more dangerous one despite being 4x smaller than the brow cut. They could have let Vitali fight on a few more rounds but TKO 6 is TKO 6. Haters gonna hate.
Let the Fury-hating i****s release their crap, at least we'll have the proof they know s**t about boxing. Sorry, the fact Fury got up and wasn't stopped (neither against Otto) can't be changed, just as the fact he deserved not to be and fairly won both, despite the Wilder fight corrupted result.
I am almost positive God can multi-task. He took care of his children while simultaneously making sure Tyson Fury would show his mettle.
