Nah I actually got offered some free tickets the other day but couldn't be bothered it's a pain in the ass to get to Homebush also I wanna be home in time for the Dragons game at 6.15 so just gonna book it on Foxtel.
Ok, I am very late to this party. Just how good is Tszyu? I've seen bits and pieces and wasn't overly impressed to be honest. Anyway I know you knowledgeable lot will set me straight And when I repeat your points to my pals I'll look like I know what I'm talking about so thank you in advance.
Free tickets how lucky did you know some of the people, how did you get that chance? Yeah it was a quicker drive in the old days now Auburn has got so many new lights plus plenty of new stores around, population increased in that area as well, seems too expensive even for the Diamond seats even though there at the back, Plus with all the heat nowadays its probably a better bet to stay at home & watch it anyways.
I have friends that work for sponsors, also I think ticket sales have not been so great as it is a big venue and they don't have the Paul Gallen muscle to help with ticket sales. I went to Tszyu Brubaker and a couple other early ones at the Star in Sydney which is a good venue you can hit the tables after the fight or just find a bar anywhere in the CBD. Homebush is a dump lol it has good sporting venues but not much else. Agree with your last point I prefer watching fights at home now anyway you can see much better and relax on the lounge. I got the boys coming over so should be a good day with the fights and the Dragons game on after.
I see, Okay i didn't know about the Star either, it's getting more interesting now that the fight is nearing as i have been watching the interviews & promos which have been surprisingly good, That''s cool to have those kinds of connections man your lucky, Yup Sydney in general is a mess with it's infrastructure & over population, getting anywhere is a drag nowadays even if you just want to go down the road, True with the Large TV & Speakers watching in HD in comfort is the way to go.
Approx what time on Sunday will this main event likley to be on down under please mate , you're a Sydney sider ain't you Prow? Sydney + 11 hrs to GMT
I'd say 4pm Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time. Make it 3pm to be safe. That's going to make it an early one for you, Outlaw. 3pm our time is 4:00am GMT. In saying that, I love watching fights from the UK in the early hours of Sunday morning here. It's almost a spiritual experience if you get the right result.
Buy the cheapest tickets, and move to a better location. If done correctly you can know with fairly good accuracy where some dead zones are prior to walking through the door. I do it all of the time, it works almost always and the few times it doesn't I have never once been asked to leave. Play dumb, act like you belong. Go have some fun!
This is an extremely risky fight, especially considering the fact that Tszyu has a fight with Charlo already lined up. Wouldn't be surprised if Harrison pulled "the upset" off(wouldn't really be a big one) but Tszyu will probably get him out of there eventually. In any case.... wish more fighters had this kind of energy today, the sport of the boxing would be a lot more enjoyable.
Yeah the bookmakers got this wrong if you ask me. Not so much have Tim clear favourite, just the wide odds. Though the market sort of dictates thats and Aussies are such degenerate gamblers they would mortgage their house to win 5c on the dollar. Imagine there would be a few backslappers loading up on Timmy. Plenty of value in the Harrison win. I remember my mate came to me to ask who will win the Green-Mundine fight. I told him probably Choc so don't put anything on Grinning Green. I'll never forget the look on his face because he has already put $1K on Green to win by knockout and we were super young then so that was a lot of money to us.
Nice, thought about this too as they are many empty seats not sold out but I doubt I could pull it off especially doing it by myself, How did you get away with it so well?
Rarely after you enter the venue does another human ask to see your ticket again. Sometimes the ushers will ask to help you find the seat, but they can be easily avoided if you wait until they are talking to someone else, or simply say I know where it is. Don't try to get to ultra premium areas because they definitely have people checking to see if you are meant to be there, but going from the nose bleeds to something in the middle is extremely easy. Walk quickly and confidently, smile and act like you belong and nobody will question you. Also, look at the the website where tickets are sold right before walking in and note sections with big chunks of tickets still available. Aim there. Don't be looking around and acting sneaky. It is easiest by yourself or with only one other person.
