I think DLH / Floyd 2 is next.

If Floyd comes back and fights DLH im ok with it as long as DLH fights and beats a top Welterweight Paul Williams,Shane Mosley,Antonio Margarito or Miguel Cotto and as long as Floyd fights the number 1 Welterweight 1st which obviously its Margarito now but that could change.

 

This match is not going to happen.

it has nothing to do with the money..floyd had a 20 million dollar offer on the table to fight him in september and he still retired...floyd also said in his retirement letter that it wasnt about the money (even though it is)..i was hoping cotto could have lured him outta retirement b4 cotto got beat up

 

exactly, it wasnt about the money. mayweather even said that he wouldnt take 50mil to fight the guy, he said you gotta be talkin 9figures to even get him to consider it. hes too smart

 

Floyd doesn't need the money. Due to investments, he's actually made as much if not more outside the ring as inside the ring. I'm from Grand Rapids, and watched the first DelaHoya-Mayweather bout with a local boxing promoter from the area, who's also associated with Team Mayweather-(he's sponsors their gym). He was saying Floyd's been complaining privately about pain in not just his hands but his hips, legs, and back.

One reason he kept fighting so long was both money and the need to feed his ego. Supposedly he doesn't need the money anymore, and he truly believes he's hands down the best. Further more I believe he fears losing in the ring more than anything at this point. He could look at RJJ and realize everything he's ever accomplished would be totally destroyed with a single lucky punch. I don't think he'll ever return to fight another man who's physically bigger than him. Maybe a Pacquiao down the road if Manny can become an even bigger sensation, but never a Margarito or Cotto, and likely not even DelaHoya, who could concievably beat Floyd in a rematch.

 

The first fight was a very closed fight (split decision). Mayweather knew how dangerous the rematch would be, since DLH lost just for not keeping his jab,
a mistake that DLH probably would not make again. So after PBF call for a rematch, he ran away from it.

 

Yep. He's experiencing pain in his hands, back, shoulders & legs. He's not willing to let boxing retire him, he wants to retire from boxing in a successful way. He knows he can beat Oscar, Cotto, Margo, and all the other guys, but he knows that he can possibly ruin his legacy and lose because the love for boxing isn't there anymore. The money is good but he's realized that he's already financially set for the rest of his life. But he could beat Cotto, Margo, & DLH still

 

I personally thought Oscar won.

I'm not sure if the PAC/DLH fight will happen.. but he does not have many other options..

whoever he fights there will have to be a big draw card... it will have to be someone that is going to sell tickets and PPV. Without PBF this makes Pac his only option at this time...

I think a fight may happen with either Hatton or Cotto or possibly eved Judah...

 

Why not? That fight was so entertaining it made Marquez vs. Vasquez 3 look like sh*t.
