It's already been 30 years since Carbajal and Chiquita faced each other in Las Vegas. One of the most memorable fights of the lower weight class and arguably the one that gave more attention to the smaller fighters. This was an absolute war from start to finish and one of the best fights of the 90s.

One of the best fights of the decade.

Haven't seen the third one yet, but thought that their second fight was remarkable because of how incredibly disciplined and focused Gonzalez was, even after being cut so badly so early. His boxing skills were on full display, and they were very impressive.

Their third fight is pretty similar - Gonzalez' boxing being too much for Carbajal. Honestly the second and third fights are very lackluster given how epic the first is.

Can't believe 30 years have past since that fight. I remember it very well. Carbajal came roaring back that night, then was listless in the rematches.

What was weird was, he had Gonazalez cut really bad in the rematch, then did nothing about it. Little Chiquita just boxed and pecked his way to a decision despite being badly cut. You would have thought Carbajal would have jumped all over that... I guess it's not that easy....

I was so sure that Gonzalez was going to win the first fight, that was heartbreaking. But I got 3:1 on the rematch and cleaned up pretty good.
