AJ did not beat Wlad in a better fashion. More exciting fight yes, but it was also a close fight. Fury whitewashed him.
Lol at anyone who argues Usyk wouldn't be Fury's best win. Usyk is faster, more skilled and more talented than anyone Fury has ever faced. Putting an ancient, already thrice beaten Wlad or protected hype job one-trick-pony Wilder as better wins than defeating Usyk - that could only be trolling, no sane person would argue that seriously.
agreed, that's the sort of thing i was referring to. really, as far as wins over unified heavyweight champions go, the Wlad performance was fairly dismal.
Wlad was four months shy of his 40th birthday when Belly edged him in that FOTY candidate. Prime Wlad or even just a younger closer to prime one would've sparked him out cold of that I'm 100% certain and always have been. Yes an older inactive Wlad took AJ down to the wire but that was the still very green clunky robot AJ And yes AJ got knocked out by Fat Andy but these things happen in HW boxing Lewis was knocked out x 2 by lesser fighters Tyson was knocked out by Buster Doogles Wlad was knocked out by Sanders and stopped by Ross the Boss and Brewster The Dosser escaped a KO loss by the skin of his teeth against a tomato can named Harold Sconiers Imagine what would've happened to Belly if Pajkic and Firtha actually possessed a semblance of power? If that had been Fat Andy in the ring with Belly on those nights instead of them it would've been curtains for Belly.
Belly fought Wlad in his 25th fight and then he went Sefari Pianeta Dosser Schwarz Wallin Dosser Dosser Whyte Chisora AJ fought Wlad in his 19th fight and went Takam - late replacement for Pulev Parker Povetkin Fat Andy Fat Andy Pulev Usyk Usyk Now take out the trash and see how it looks Dosser - generational hype job Wallin - light hitter who gave him hell, hurt him, and denied victory by corruption Dosser Dosser Whyte - had been sparked out cold by a shot 40 y/o Povetkin 2 fights prior Chisora - was a 38 y/o shell of himself
Spot on. Fury's 0 is artificial, he has 2 losses already - McDermott I SD/MD and Wallin TKO. Also, Chisora was only a few weeks away from turning 39. Fury is remarkable - the weakest resume of a WBC champion of the last who knows how many decades, yet his cult follower casuals thinks he is in ATG territory. Hilarious stuff.
And yet Usyk beat Joshua twice, who is better than anyone Fury has beat. Usyk rated himself a 3/10 vs Chisora, he was not at his best. Joshua would KO Chisora, he's miles above Chisora and Usyk schooled him. Usyk was not fighting near his best vs Chisora. Fury would be Usyk's best win, Usyk would be fury's best win.
