How would Brewster hold up in that fight?

Maybe a dangerous one for the brown Bomber but I don't see him losing.

I think Brewster’s lack of defense willingness to openly take punches would be his tragic undoing here.

He would probably have a good 30 lbs on Louis...
I know Wlad couldn't keep him down, and he hit him with everything but the kitchen sink.
I think he could stand up to Louis's barrages long enough to land some damage of his own.

I pick Brewster to win a 10 round decision, probably dropping Louis once or twice a long the way.
Brewster was a pretty solid finisher, but I think Louis would survive

In no universe does Lamon Brewster win a decision over Joe Louis. His own family wouldn't bet on him winning a decision. Too crude and wide open to beat Louis that way. A KO isn't out of the question.

That's being said, Louis survives a flash knockdown and then slowly picks Brewster apart with his superior hand speed and technique. Louis by UD or late round TKO.

Brewster has a punchers chance, he is a durable guy with decent power

Joe Louis (any prime example) vs. Brewster of Golota or Krasniqi (his best version) would lose by stoppage late. He's simply gonna get hit and picked apart too much.

This fight would be awesome. I think the truth would come out in the exchanges, I think Lamon used a lot of looping punches and Louis had really nice straights at close-mid range (especially a corkscrewing right). I think the straight shots would give Brewster a lot of problems, but Brewster's size and power were menacing especially when he got his hands moving consistently. And he was tough as nails. I think this fight would be a war and end with a knockout. Smart money is on Louis for me, but Brewster could catch Joe--he could catch anyone. If Louis comes out throwing wild like he did in some fights, this would be an early fireworks show and I think Louis would probably get clipped due to his defensive liabilities.

Louis would knock him out and, if you asked Brewster, I reckon that he would agree.
You guys do not understand punching at all, not even a little bit. In a professional fight, between professionals, one punch very rarely finishes a fight. Joe Louis threw combinations that were murder; the way he shifted his weight and chained the flow of the weight shifts, each punch was harder than the last. He would hit Brewster with a five punch combination....and he would hit him with them over and over again until the fight ended in 4.

I agree Louis would chop him down. He's the sort of big guy that would fit right into Joe's wheelhouse.

Louis would not miss a punch against this guy. And you also have that great corner of Blackburn/Seamons to critique the defense of Brewster for 6 weeks with their pre-fight preperations. What could be easier for them with their prime fighter?

I think Brewster has a decent chance here. His chin was frankly incredible against Wlad and Wlad punches harder than Louis, I'd put my mortgage on it. The real question is how much will Brewster manage to land in return. Louis has an underrated defence but does he make him miss everything? If Brewster lands enough he could stop Louis for real. On the other hand Louis does not seem to have the stamina problems that Wlad had and if Brewster is unable to land enough he's in for an ungodly beating.
