AJ v Franklin hasn`t sold out yet, has AJ`s drawing power dimished after Usyk exposed him at the highest level? This content is protected
Because its a **** fight. If Joshua needs a confidence booster that's fine but don't expect people to pay big money to watch a therapy session.
I don't think AJ got exposed against Usyk. He gave Usyk his two toughest fights. He beat every other man he faced including former HW champs and almost cleaned the division out. But he should face better opposition, even if it means smashing a guy like Whyte again or beating down Chisora. Not some no namer.
AJ only gave Usyk a slighly awkward fight because of his size and reach advantage, P4P he`s nowhere near Usyk`s level.
Because Anthony Joshua is not a draw anymore. Simple as that. No one is interested anymore, the charade is up.
Because he got beaten by a meatball on a short notice, whom he was later afraid to approach in the ring. And then was outclassed by Usyk. Now he wants to still pretend is great, but against some top 20 guy?
I think it will rise up again as long he fights someone like Whyte, Chisora, Bakole, Lovejoy or Wallin later in 2023
Meltdown ensured there is no brand loyality. His opponent is average and its a complete tune up/new trainer fight. It probably sold well as it is. Fights like these you have every three or four months.
If Joshua’s drawing power has faded which most fans seem to accept Hearn will make the biggest money fights he can from Joshua and just cash him in ! Fury Wilder Joyce fights would all be made in a heartbeat.
Yes. That meltdown afterwards did him no favours. I live in England and his fan base seem to have lost interest.
There is no shame for Joshua losing twice to Usyk as the Ukrainian is a special talent however what fans will not like was the disgrace that happened after the second Usyk loss when he threw Usyks belts out of the ring, them actions there were a disgrace and clearly showed his pre conceived entitlement .
It's not a title fight he has lost some of his popularity I would imagine after losing and it's not a marquee matchup
