Won’t have been an issue and the version of Pryor who fought Hinton was gone with his drugs addiction.
Aaron Pryor was very mobile yet awkward. He fired punches from different angles, he was extremely confident in the ring, had good hand speed. But Pryor's defense was suspect at times, he was decked on a few occasions, Antonio Cervantes, Akio Kameda, and rocked by Alexis Arguello. But Pryor could be explosive. Terrence Bud Crawford is a very good boxer with a nasty right hand, his hand speed is fair. Pryor fought at 140 lbs, not at 147 lbs like Crawford. I see Pryor coming out early to surprise Crawford, then settling down to a tactical fight, being patient, picking his spots. I do see Crawford making this fight a close contest as Aaron is very cautious of Bud's power. I see Pryor scoring a stoppage late in this 15 round fight, TKO 13.
I disagree. He should have taken the money. In fact, team Leonard upped it to $750k & Pryor still refused it.
50/50 depending on weight class. At 140 I'm going with Pryor as Crawford never fought anyone that good there, but at 147 I confidently pick Bud to win inside 7-8.
Me and a friend were just talking about this fantasy fight a few days ago, I concluded that this is a 50-50 fight, he said that Pryor is a somewhat forgotten fighter...
I think there's too many counter punching opportunities for Crawford not to capitalize on. Pryor will LITERALLY attack with his hands down and chin in the air. I think at first the pace will throw Crawford off. Pryor comes out with an insane pace. But once Crawford settles in, he won't miss all of those openings Pryor presents. I think Bud hits him with something he doesn't see and finish him in the championship rounds.
Does Pryor get to freebase a pound of coke before the fight? Then i take him. No freebase edge for Pryor? Then i take Crawford.
