I'm a Canelo fan, I tend to be tough on him with scoring because people always talk About his decisions so I try and always just give benefit of doubt the other way. I had: 1-2) Saunders: he was busier, Canelo landed some good shots, but I felt BJS did enough boxing to be ahead. 3-4)Canelo: He was starting to get BJS timing a bit and was starting to cut the ring. 5-7) Saunders: Stepped up his work rate and started landing some counter hooks, and some nice combinations. 8) Canelo: Broke BJS face. 5-3 BJS. It did look like Canelo found another gear and it probably wouldn't have been too long anyways, even with no injury.
I've seen Beterbiev hurt a few times... watch his last fight... also check out his fight against Callum Johnson, where he was knocked down... Canelo never been hurt. Beterbiev is 36.. getting old.. if they ever fight he will be 37. he will put up a good fight, but will definitely come short... Beterbiev won't smash Canelo trust me.
lol If Canelo could beat those guys he would be booked to fight them already, he knows what he needs to do to leave a legacy.
He's gotta come with a master plan, which probably includes landing hurtful shots early. Only way to beat Canelo is to make him respect your power. The reverse is why fighters don't wanna let their hands go against him, they catch a few shots, then Canelo switches it up, fakes you out, you flinch, he reads it, and your hurt.
Benevidez is a serious fight...that kid is no joke and he’ll be the one to push Canelo out of his comfort zone, although I think Canelo wins the fight.
Canelo already said he won't go to light heavy. I think it was Mike Tyson interview. He thinks he is too small.
Canelo is great but there are limits. Let’s be honest here. Kovalev was clearly out boxing Canelo before being stopped. I thought he was clearly ahead. But on the cards he was behind. It would be similar for Beterbiev and Bivol. Thing is these guys are closer to their primes than Kovalev was. Espec Bivol. Canelo standing and trading in the pocket with Beterbiev just seems nuts to me. And Bivol is a better boxer than Kovalev at this point. But the reality is - both guys need a stoppage to win vs Canelo. And he’s iron chinned. Would he be agaisnt Beterbiev? That’s another story.
I doubt he beats Beterbiev-thats a tall order. Bivol, on the other hand is beatable. He looked horrible in his last fight against Richards, so don't be surprised if that fight is made.
This thread is a stark warning to Inoue fans Then again I would class featherweight as Inoue's light heavyweight so eh
