Sometimes I wonder if it's just as simple as Fury not being interested. Mentally, he's retired. He wants easy fights. Delboy 3. Ngannou. Hafthor Bjornsson. Mike Tyson. Wayne Rooney And that's fine But please drop the WBC belt you mug Of course the other side of things is that Fury is a calculated scumbag trying to preserve or improve his commercial value, all of which would be threatened by the Middle Wait. And there's a lot of room to believe this is correct But when I'm feeling a little nicer I do wonder if Fury has mentally checked-out of boxing and wants to pursue these freak fights And that's fine But please drop the WBC belt you mug As for Usyk, I wonder if he's waiting for all of this to blow over and then retire at a later date so it doesn't look bad on him. I don't know what beating Danny D would achieve. Joyce wouldn't be a bad legacy builder I suppose. Ehhhhhhhhhh
"Such as Fury is not really younger than Usyk and his body is more damaged because of the lifestyle" That would be consistent with Fury not wanting the fight. "So how about a fourth reason starting with Usyk?" I don't believe it's realistic that Usyk is ducking the fight. If Usyk loses that's expected, "he was just too small". If Usyk wins it's one of the best heavyweight wins ever. And either way Usyk gets what's for him a massive payday, which he's not been used to in his career. Whereas the risk-reward is all reversed for Fury. That's before we get into Fury's demands or anything else. "it's pointless and leads us to have rude discussions" I enjoy speculation. A large proportion of the discussions on this forum are based on it. If you don't like it, cool. This isn't the thread for you.
They've took back control of any concession they handed to fury So fury ducked price for the british Ustinov as hes being stitched up Vlad rematch And now the middleweight Oh dear oh dear Heads gone heads gone
Usyks manager was on Talksport just now saying Fury had a 'long list of demands' but that he couldn't say what they were...
"But please drop the WBC belt you mug" "You may say that I'm a dreamer..." "I don't know what beating Danny D would achieve." If Usyk permanently retired in short order it would do significant damage to Fury's legacy. But pursuing a fight with Daniel "glass-chinned quitter" Dubois (likely in the Copper Box for a couple million dollars) strongly suggests that he and his team will be back at the Fury negotiating table before long.
Reason 4. Fury offered terms he assumed Usyk would reject. His bluff was called and he doesn’t think he will be ready in time for April. Fury is a contradiction. 6 weeks enough for AJ to go against him but not for him vs Usyk. He hasn’t come out of this looking good
Sloppy. AJ had 12/13 weeks to prepare. Fury's "bluff being called" is entirely consistent with points 1., 2. and 3.
As previously as massive fury fan greedy belly has made a show of himself. Only good to beat up old men and no hoper yanks who can't fight. Uysk is furys boss. There isnt a man born from john fury that's good enough to hold uysks coat
It's really more of a UK thing. Here in America we don't really tolerate being strung along on Twitter by some clout chasing phony. But those people over there seem to love this type of soap opera drama. We have other sports here in America. NBA, XFL, college basketball, even the UFC. We don't need to settle for Fury's antics or the likes of his supporters for that matter
Says the country that is run by Fauci & Biden & gave the world the Paul brothers .. and hardly anyone bothers with playing your sports other than you lot lmao.. only your country could hold a world series and not invite anyone else
Oh well at least we got Chisora 3 (which had to happen in early December so the Usyk fight could be in Feb apparently)
