1st page of the General is more than 50% threads on minor developments about (or just individuals' random trivial passing thoughts on) just two fights: this one and Fury vs. Usyk, both of which have official poll & discussion threads remaining actively bumped the whole time.

Do we just have too many newbs that weren't around for the Mayweather Pacquiao thread merge dumping? It's like people go to create a thread, see there's a dozen already on a particular fight, and think "nope, my unique perspective on the one very narrow aspect I'm addressing MUST be its own additional thread". Anybody here over ten years ago has no excuse to not remember how outta hand that got, and how unreadable it made the forum.

 

@Juan carlos in particular...you're not brand new, but you've still only been here since 2019. Long after the May-Pac nonsense cooled down. So, not to pick on you or anything but just to bring to your attention: during the first press conference for this one, you made a separate thread about the rehydration clause. I had already mentioned that in here. You've since made half a dozen other very narrowly-focused (and in essence, disposable) threads about the fight. There's no reason to not have one repository for all things Davis vs. García (or Fury vs. Usyk, or whatever) until fight night, rather than clutter up the forum with a slew of redundant little ones that only serve a quick single purpose and then have no reason to continue getting bumped a few days later. If you see a main thread, use it.

Ryan's little brother Sean "Lil Sugar Rush" García - currently a southpaw campaigning at lightweight with a 6-0-1 record - will be on the undercard.

Information trickling in very slowly, on that front.

Frank Lamar Martin vs. William Zepeda Segura is strongly rumored for the undercard.

So is Mercito Moya Gesta vs. Floyd Schofield III, despite the Pinoy having fought just last weekend.

Not one supporting bout officially announced yet, a month out.

 

Nothing officially announced for the undercard with fight night 29 days away is crazy.

There was a rumor floating around that Jaron Ennis might be in action, but that has been confirmed to not be the case.

Kingry's brother is virtually a sure thing, along with Schofield vs. somebody (Gesta likeliest) and Martin vs. Segura, but again - none set in stone.

 

Kingry was on the WrestleMania kickoff show, nice little crossover promotion opportunity to hype the fight up for a big mainstream audience. Of course it required him to grit his teeth and pretend Logan Paul is a legit fellow elite boxing talent (which he cringed his way through diplomatically) but hey, price of doing business.

He again promised it was KO or be kayoed on April 22nd.
