Maybe some extremely talented guy in the future in a lab pumped full of every PED known to man could "convincingly beat" 67 Ali, but I doubt there would ever be a human being confined to the rules of boxing who could "school" him. That's an absurd notion. It's about as ridiculous as suggesting someone could school Michael Jordan in basketball making him look like a clueless, clumsy highschool athlete.

That's a good analogy. It's like saying is there a center who could have schooled a peak Shaq or a team that could have schooled a peak Warriors team.

Noooooooo..........just use your eyes mate. There has never been a heavyweight with Ali's ( 1967 version ) speed of foot and hands.
Added to those marvellous physical qualities we know now Ali had a chin of granite plus he was insanely tough.
There is no such thing as an unbeatable fighter but 1967 Ali must have been damned close to it.At least nobody, and I mean NOBODY,schools that version of Muhammad Ali.

I assume you are using hyperbole just for effect but it's still a ridiculous statement.

I'll work on it ! I know some old time fighters are overrated by old wrinklies ( i.e folks in my age group ! ) but
not Muhammad Ali.One only has to look at his achievements listed in your post to realise Ali is indeed the GOAT.

Well...Maybe Chamberlain could have schooled Shaq.
At least as much of a physical force.
    Even greater athleticism.
Even better with the ball & footwork-played point guard with the Globetrotters for a year.
Better endurance, many more minutes, never tired.

Statistically Robinson ha an even greater best season.
Hakeem the Dream legendarily schooled Shaq in a playoff run, although Shad was not quite peak.

It's hopeless, certain people are biased beyond belief on here and will continue pointing to meaningless, context-lacking stats, completely oblivious of how desperate or irrational they appear. They will never, ever, acknowledge a good point from anyone - regardless of how good the point is. They will purposely downplay and negate any good qualities of the fighter they're against, while at the same time over-emphasizing their favorite fighter's abilities & accomplishments.

The 'stat guys' will usually bring in irrelevant facts (amateur records, how great their guy is cause he fights in his opponents' backyards, their guy is a southpaw and stats and percentages clearly show that southpaws beat orthodox fighters 99.41% of the time blah blah blah......yaaaaaawn.

Anyway the answer to the question is 'no'. Not only is there no one that could school '67 Ali, but there's never been a man born from his mother that could ever whup that version of Ali. He was invincible at his best, absolutely unbeatable.

Totally agree mate.Stats can be used in all sorts of ways to put forward the most bizarre
opinions. It's blatantly obvious that Ali is the GOAT.Just look at his incredible physical
gifts allied to his tremendous courage and mental toughness.Quite simply he really is
    the Greatest.

I never said they school him, I said they beat him.
And the likes of Tyson and Patterson match his hand speed.
And I do use my eyes, I've seen him fight, he's overrated.

It's really just common sense. Ali was an elite sportsman about 50-60 years ago but elite sportsman from 50-60 years ago are inferior in every sport where objective measurements are made relative to the highest performing modern athletes. This doesn't lessen Ali's greatness at all by the way, in case you think it does.
