Canelo is slower on his feet than plant and he's shorter. 5'7. David can dominate the fight with his jab and right hand all night. Canelo also gasses out worse than PLant because of his fake muscles. I see David stopping the 5'7 ginger. Caleb was holding and trying to survive. With Canelo he was standin his ground and not worried as much. Shows you how much he fears David.
I don't think David would stop Canelo because of Canelo's elite defensive awareness, but I agree that Canelo's gas tank is a problem. I see a Benavidez decision victory not too dissimilar to his Plant performance last night, David takes over and starts imposing himself on Canelo down the stretch.

Canelo is easy to hit? He has fought guys with greater hand speed, accuracy , and 10 times the boxing ability than Benavidez and none of these guys found it easy to hit Canelo.
I reckon Canelo would find Benavidez easy to hit. Benavidez's chance as I see it would be to outlast Canelo and wear him down to get a decision, which is not impossible even though I don't think it will happen. But he's is going to eat some leather, that's for sure. That long upperbody is going to be very hard to protect. Plant had some success there, but not with the same kind of power, of course.
Canelo being shorter isn't going to help Benevidez, he's not a mover, in fact I think Canelo being shorter actually helps him on the inside as his shots would be "shorter" and more compact than Davids. Also Canelo is the better Counter puncher and has great head movement, so I see Canelo as being "Shorter", as an advantage for him against DB.
Canelo has shown some nice flashes of defense. Against Jacobs in the first half he was looking amazing. Couldn't sustain it though.
Canelo is a great counter puncher and will nail Benavidez repeatedly, most likely stop him. But they will never fight because Canelo has stated on numerous occasions that he is not interested in fighting Mexicans.
