First one - Muhammad Ali vs. Larry Holmes ($10 closed circuit ticket in a big arena - although I believe my dad paid) Last one - I believe it was Luis Ortiz-Charles Martin New Year's Day card in 2022. Everyone who was still here was just laying around the house or packing up to leave. The holidays were over. I just wanted to buy something for myself. It was a good show. And too many to count in the 42 years in between. When I hear there is a fighter who someone wants to raise money for, I add up how much I've already "donated" to them over the years.
I buy most of them albeit have skipped a few lately. But I did buy the one this past weekend and will buy Tank/Garcia as well. No issue paying for destination fights.
The last PPV I ordered was the Royal Rumble on WWE network. Still at the £9.99 price it all started at. I guess the old fan in me wanted to see how Cody Rhodes got on. The Royal Rumble match was pretty good. I think the last boxing PPV I ordered was Usyk vs Joshua 2, certainly not the worst I've ever ordered, but any time a PPV is coming up now, I can't justify it to myself, despite wasting money elsewhere.
