You can't really talk too bad about AJ. He lost to Ruiz but avenged the defeat. 2 losses to Usyk who is an elite heavyweight and an atg cruiserweight. Loads of big fights out there for AJ if he regains momentum.

AJ is good. He just isn’t as good as was advertised. Nothing wrong with that.

Hopefully he lets his hands go a bit more moving forward, he has been gunshy since the Ruiz fight. Possibly since Wlad had him badly hurt.

Great uppercut, Good jab (when he uses it), fast hands, good combination puncher.

He could outbox most in this division.

He lost twice to a generational talent in Usyk

Belly spent the last four years beating up on a no skill generational hype job and his reputation is in complete tatters world wide because he wouldn't dare fight Usyk once, and he nearly lost to Wallin

I totally disagree with that ^ implied accusation. Low blow, mate, very low.

If you look at Jimbo's character, like all of our characters here, you can clearly pick holes in them.

Rightly or wrongly, he always says what he thinks, he simply can't help it...debating tact is defo not his forte or strong point. Hence he's a serial ban merchant.

But I've never, ever seen a post or innuendo from him that would remotely suggest he's a racist.

I guess he should’ve took the Fury route and fought guys he already beat 3 times while avoiding any serious threats.

aj's best attributes are his low IQ and glass jaw. Thats why he gets knocked out by obese midgets and mentally dominated in the ring. It's entertaining

Don't let vegan sway you into thinking he's any good

Vegan I'm going to play Devils advocate here. Before I get going, I like AJ, and he's been a top HW for many years. For one, I think he's a top sportsman as compared to a whiner & poor sport like Wilder. I didn't even criticize AJ for his antics after Uysk #2. He was, naturally, very disappointed. So don't say I'm an AJ "hater". However, I'm going to shade my points just like you have for AJ.

    1. You state AJ has some mental issues that he, at least, tried to face. But you completely ignore Fury's well documented mental issues. Why? What Fury accomplished after abusing his body is remarkable. Wilder does have a killer right and the will to get up and keep punching. Fury bottling it w/Usyk doesn't change that.
    2. Rematching fatso Ruiz and smaller Uysk should not give AJ some sort of heroic points. Vs. those opponents he's 1-1 in rematches & 1-3 overall. Yet all he needs is a win over a fringe contender and voila, he's back in the mix. This has the hallmarks of a privileged fighter. Compare that to Ruiz. 1-1 vs. AJ with wins over, yes old, Arreola & Ortiz, and he's trying to get a fight w/the likes of a 2X defeated Wilder. How many defeats does Ruiz have? 2. Ruiz is a poster boy of high risk, low reward... among all you can eat buffet master.

    3. Above I admitted the obvious that both of Ruiz recent wins were over name, but old opponents. Two of AJs biggest name wins, Pov & Wlad, were much older than AJ & past their prime. I'd bet a prime Pov would have a chance to Ruiz #1 AJ and would favor anything close to prime Wlad over AJ. Parker & Whyte were close to AJs age - but we now know those two are not all that.

    4. You use the word decent (of an acceptable standard; satisfactory) like it means great. Re Fury, Wallin isn't decent? SMH.
I think some of Wilders wins were over decent opponents besides Ortiz. Sheesh. Joyce, c'mon DD is at least decent. Look where he's ranked? I know DD also has some AJ privilege going. According to your own arguments, AJ has one, ONE decent win in 4 years - Ruiz #2. Usyk at HW has two decent (I think they were vs. a top opponent) wins. I respect Usyk very much.

My points above are to show that by using words in a biased or exaggerated manner, you can make almost any argument you want. That's what you see most sports forums full of. Inane, biased arguments. Btw, you're far from bad. You try to make good points, but your use of "decent", errors of omission (AJ mental issues, but not Fury), and some mild double standards in favor of AJ lessons your argument.

AJ needs a convincing win over Franklin and maybe one more vs. a top HW to deserve a shot at even one belt.
If AJ gets those wins, Fury-AJ would be a super bout. For one reason they both have these mental issues !
I wish Usyk well whoever he fights next, and want to see Ruiz in there vs. a top 5 HW.
