Erik Morales claims GGG may be retiring

Hope he gets one last payday in for the road. Funny about Morales - some people just what the look like, aren't they?

 

Maybe Canelo 3 was his last pay day? I don't doubt he's still capable of fighting a few more top 160s but the guys 41.....had 45 fights, leave him to do what he wants to do....if he feels the timing is right then lets move on and pave the way for the nextgen.

 

Why would Morales know. For those getting their knickers in a twist probably need to see what was said and the context in which it was said.

He probably should retire for me. Has made an awful lot of money and isn’t the fighter he was. Could end up taking an awful lot of punishment with his granite chin also.

 

He's an old fighter now and didn't look a patch on what he was like in his prime. No surprise if he packs up shop.

He trains Munguia,who reportedly is in talks to fight Golovkin in june.
Golovkin might have whispered this during talks and Morales could easily hear the news.

 

I mean he might know whether or not GGG wants to fight his guy specifically but I sincerely doubt he or Munguía would be privy to his decision to retire permanently before the rest oft the world. I'm thinking this is crossed signals or a game of telephone.

 

It s possible Golovkin passed on the fight giving the reason:retirement.
