I watched a little bit to see what Franklin is about and he has a very good jab, solid fundamentals, decent defense and what looks like a solid chin too. He supposedly lost 20+ lbs for this fight but that tells you all you need to know as he should've been in great shape in previous fights & not overweight. He looks to be sluggish & also feet are slow. After fighting Usyk, this opponent will look to be fighting in slow motion to AJ.

Could be interesting if this fight gets into the last 4 rounds but I don't see it happening, and Franklin looks not to have too much pop in his shots.

AJ by stoppage in rounds 7 or 8.

I don't dispute any of that. I am just saying he is not in any way shape or form interesting as a person. He is extremely dull.

    I partially agree. See below.
    Spot on.

This describes so many HWs from the 90s to date. It partially describes Ruiz, who fans loved after he defeated AJ. The friendly jokes on YT vids like "why go to the gym? I'll just have a Snickers" etc. Seeing someone who isn't a muscle bound model as HW champ has an appeal to many. Ruiz coming in even fatter for AJ 2 was an overdo that lost him more than the fight.
People are forgetting all the good that Fury accomplished based on the Usyk fight not coming together. His trilogy w/ Wilder produced three good to excellent scraps.

Usyk is at least as big as Povetkin and many other 2000s HWs. In today's era he is on the smaller side. In the "golden" 70s he's a big and very successful HW.

How many defeats will it require to remove AJs "superstar aura"? 4? 5 or more?

I get exactly where you’re coming from, Joshua looks like he’s broken inside, but this fight shouldn’t make it past the mid rounds, with Joshua victorious that is.

AJ can train as hard as he likes, but at the end of the day he panics when he takes a big shot. He's a good fighter, but he'll never be a great fighter. Nothing wrong with that, but he needs to get his head around it. Also, he wins by early to mid round KO.

franklin is easy to hit with the uppercut a punch that joshua has in his arsenal. if franklin can avoid getting hammered through 5-6 rounds this could get very well interesting. franklin underprepared showed a good engine late in the whyte fight. Dont expect joshua to be any different, he is what he is no matter who is in his corner. franklin doesnt have a huge punch but a tired joshua can be put away regardless...

My official prediction is Joshua KO8. Either way, I think we see a stoppage in the later rounds.

If and it is a big if the fight should get into the later rounds, what will AJs gas tank be like at his career heaviest weight.

Is that why Franklin dropped 20lbs?

I'm saying they won't let AJ lose again, because he generates the greatest revenues. They will rebuild his career. They won't let him fight dangerous boxers again.

Maybe he didn't even train properly and lost muscle mass. He's probably just grateful to Joshua and Hearn for the paycheck.

He doesn't look like a fighter to me. He looks he is confused all the time, like his mind is elsewhere. I don't see any ambition in him.

He lost 20lbs of muscle in 4 months?
Nah. Just look at his social media, you see that he has been training his butt off for this one.

Look, if you cut the fat and sugar in your diet, you will lose 20 lbs in 4 months, even if you sit home all day.

But you were just talking about muscle mass a second ago.
Like I said, look up his social media. He is taking this fight serious. And AJ´s side has no need for paying him off. Franklin is being brought in as a tuneup.
