    Probably a merciful release, given that he was suffering with dementia. A genuine proper world champion, and by all accounts, a decent human being as well.

    That's from The Fight Game in Scotland, written by Brian Donald. Brian boxed Ken three times when they were bairns, went 0-3, and the two remained friends throughout.
