As a fan, I would prefer Joshua gave the very limited Whyte a swerve preferring him to take a step up and get in with Bakole next. That fight is hard to predict and would answer many questions for both fighters. A win for either and a World Title Challenge is not far away.
Fury Wilder Joyce Usyk The rest he would beat. People seriously picking Miller to beat him, Joshua's performance wasn't great on Saturday but even that version beats Miller.
Great fight for the fans and fighters. Bakole would stick it on him and both would have to show their Warrior Code credentials in a hard fight.
I would add Hrgovic and Bakole to the poll- for me both beat this current version of Joshua, and both stop Franklin too for what it's worth. As soon as Hrgovic is mentioned Zhang is automatically mentioned in the same breath but what does not get mentioned is that Filip's father had around 2 months before that fight. His father was an integral part of his set up and his career, his camp was disrupted twice because of that and he was never able to complete his training camp and was obviously in a very poor state mentally. From the rest: Fury Wilder Usyk Joyce All beat Joshua. Miller for me is an irrelevance, I don't take him seriously as any sort of proposition at top level HW. I think AJ beat's Whyte 9 times out of 10. I'm very confident in that statement, as for all of AJ's weaknesses Whyte is far inferior in every department. He's a slow, tired, plodder, with some of the worst balance and footwork you can see at this level. He's also been knocked out and put down one too many times. I think AJ beats Ruiz. Zhang is big and strong but simply put is too old and slow to compete athletically over anything more than a few rounds with someone with AJ's skill set and hand speed given his size. I think Zhang asks questions of him early on but gets outworked by a good jab and when he starts missing and falling short AJ is able to land clean often enough to hurt him and stop him. Dubois is an interesting one. Nothing would surprise me in that fight (either way..)
Unless this is match fixing I'l say it again, Dubois is crap, put it on him and he's a wreck This content is protected
Not getting excited for Joshua anymore after that fight. Will tune in, because to be fair he doesn’t duck anyone but he simply isn’t good enough
Yes I thought that when I saw the list. Think AJ beats him but it's maybe 60 40. Plus a win there over a big unbeaten boxer could go a long way to boost the reputation of a boxer most think is in decline and also boost his confidence which looks to be flagging. Good fight too.
