I don't think Lyle possesses the chin to withstand Satterfield's firepower.

If Satterfield jumped on him right from the start I think he can take Lyle out pretty quickly.

Albeit Satterfield had a lot more boxing ability than Shavers, but Lyle took Shavers' best and knocked him out. I see basically the same thing transpiring between Lyle and Satterfield. Lyle TOTALLY knocks Satterfield out, but Satterfield gives a good account of himself more than likely. Possibly drops Lyle. Lyle in 5 or 6 rounds.

One of my all-time biggest complaints is the lack of footage surrounding the Harold Johnson-Bob Satterfield trilogy.

He was able to take Foreman's bombs for quite a bit, he also has a massive size advantage. That being said the possibility is still there, I just wouldn't favour Bob.

The difference between Shavers and Satterfield is that Satterfield's astronomically better at finishing his opponents.

Shavers lack that final skill for a puncher and that is what cost him to lose a lot of fights.

I would definitely agree! Satterfield was a good finisher! My basis for Lyle winning is also partly based on his repeated comebacks against Foreman, who we all know to be a tremendous finisher.

To be fair, Shavers had literally zero time to follow up as Lyle was saved by the bell. If not for that, fight's over imo.

What an awesome matchup…honestly can’t pick. Satterfield could def win this but he could also be knocked out. Biggest wild card in boxing history. He’s got wins over a few HOF men. And multiple top ranked men. He will be discounted because of his size but he had an easier time dealing w the bigger guys than the faster smaller ones. Having decent wins against Cleveland Baker and Nino whom were the same size as Lyle

I find Lyle very overrated but he really should win this.

What was Williams rating when he lost to Satterfield?

I'll admit the Valdez, and Baker wins were very impressive.

Not this again. I’m just using his size and power as examples of him being the smaller man to hang w big boys. That is all

Lyle even tho he is overrated by the company he kept, Satterfield is more overrated in terms of power. He only KO'd 44% of his opponents. He swung for the fences and it cost him as often as it paid off for him. Lyle, for all of his late start, could actually box a bit and he could eat giant shots. Sure, there's a chance for Bob but it ain't that great.
