    Frank Warrens sports network

    Naz left for self promotion

    Hatton left for self promotion

Who would ever thought that Calzaghe world leave his chum Warren for self promotion

Enzo Maccarenelli was crushed by David Haye

Alex Arthur is nothing more than a paper champion

And Amir Khan's ability to be a real world class star is filled with doubts

Benn and Bruno and them 90's fighters have all faded into reitrement

What more has Warren got to give the sport in terms of World class fights

Not many people like Warren and have turned on him for so many crap one sided fights

whats the future for sports network

    espcially if Khan flops

wheres Warrens big meal ticket then?

Warren will always be able to entice a top amateur with a promise of a world (WBO) title - sometimes that will be too much to turn down for someone.

I think that Hatton, Haye and Calzaghe will all turn out to be successful promoters and with GBP eyeing Europe - the days for snakes like Warren are numbered. I see a future for the likes of Maloney promoting domestic fights and uncovering the occasional gem, whilst Hennessy will always be there for deluded fighters.

He'll do OK until he decides its time to retire. Maybe not as well as he was but still pretty good.

He'll sign a couple of the lads from the Olympic team and will make a fair bit of money from them.

It won't just end. There will always be somebody else on the horizon. You've got Khan, some smaller earners, and then he'll be looking towards the amateur stars.

As long as British boxing is strong, Fight Network will be strong, because kids will ALWAYS sign with him.

Even if you hate Warren you have to admit that he does handle his fighters well. He makes them very rich men and guides them to title shots. What more do you want from a promoter when you are entering boxing.

Exactly. Like it or not, every young kid wants money and it turns their head.

They aren't thinking about becoming an ATG. They want to secure their future first and foremost.

Naz, Hatton and Calzaghe all jumped ship AFTER they'd been set for life by fighting for Warren.

Yes exactly -they use Warren to do all the hard work of building them up - and then desert him for the mega money.

The problem is where is Warrens next star coming from.

It use to be Sports Network was the major force of the UK fight game.

Sure Warren has got plenty of fighters on his books but what world class stars has he got?

I think top amateurs will continue to sign with him but even the best ones are going to take a few years to develop to the top of world class champions.

Khan is a prime example - but consider this - it's 4 years since he wan Olympic Silver medal - and he is still unbeaten - but a Commonwealth Champion - not exactly the big talk Amir was giving it of being World Champion by 20 years old odd.

Warren knows Khan is the Golden Goose - and he can't afford to get him knocked out - so he is going to have a protected career full of f**** defences of the WBO title.

    There is no source

    There is no official statement

I'm just pondering the current circumstances of Sports Network are not what they were

I have no doubts Warren tried to use the Enzo Maccarenelli fight to lure David Haye into signing for him or at least working with him more in upcoming big fights

but it seems Haye was happy enough to take a big pay day off Warren and strip his WBO champion of his belt in two rounds

and walk away from it and have nothing to do with sports network again - he dont need them - but Warren needs a star like Haye

notice how he offered Haye the Skelton fight with another juciy purse - he is trying to work with Haye again and again and again

he knows Haye has the potential to be a big star and earn mega money

Warren will not retire untill he has one of his own fighters as the Ring champion in all divisions simultaniously.
