Should Usyk just vacate his WBA belt and call out Wilder or Joyce? - What can Usyk actually do now?

Usyk has nothing to prove by fighting Dubois. Dubois vs Usyk is a completely pointless fight, and all it's going to do is push any meaningful fight he can have even further into the future as Usyk seems to only fight once per year now unfortunately. Meaning we may literally have to wait a year from now before we see Usyk fight anyone of real value.

It's clear that any hope of an undisputed clash is gone now, and TBH it feels meaningless at this point. Having more belts doesn't really mean anything, its about who you fight. If you're having to waste time fighting bums/nobodies/kids to keep one of your belts, and this may stop you from fighting better opponents, then I'd just vacate.

If you're fighting the best there is, or being ducked by them, you've already proven yourself more than enough.

    Beyonce Wilder -

Usyk should vacate the WBA and fight Wilder. The WBC have ordered Wilder vs Ruiz but if Wilder is not a title holder what's the worst that can happen? He loses his rank? And instead gets the chance to fight Usyk for two other belts?

    Joe Joyce -

I think Usyk could wait for the outcome of Joyce vs Zhang, and the winner will be mandatory for Usyk, and then fight them. Joyce/Zhang would actually be worthy mandatories with decent wins under their belt after this, where as Dubois has beat who? Lerena and Bryan?

I know you can see he can call them out after beating Dubois, but how long in the future will that push the fights back if he does this?

He could instead get Wilder to fight him in Summer, and Joyce is tough so he could fight him 3-4 months down the line?

There is not much to do if Fury intends on ducking him and keeping his belt hostage.
There is little point in fighting anyone else at this age. He might as well retire.

Why would he fight high risk low reward Joyce & Wilder?

Fury & Usyk are fighting each other or nobody.

Usyk is principled and determined and this means he will fight Dubois if it keeps the undisputed dream alive.

He will do all he can to position himself towards that.

The only serious money fights left out there for him are Wilder and Fury. Joyce is high risk low reward.

Usyk will fight Fury. I believe he will go through the motions with Dubois and Fury will fight someone to stay warm, then monster unification is SA (puke) come winter.

    I don't think he's that old.

Maybe he has nothing to prove overall, surely not as an amateur (where he probably wasted some time) and cruiser, but if he wants to prove something as a heavy - must take those mandatory fights or better if he faces however Fury, Joyce and Wilder, maybe not all of them, won't have the time, but two is good enough. He doesn't have big number of fights, have few great opponents, yeah, but part of the pro resume is kind of... insufficient, which is the general problem nowadays.

Dubious will hurt him and make him look vulnerable and remind everyone that AJ is a bum.

Nah, Dubois will take a knee and quit, or just simply quit.

If he just simply quits, it'll be sitting on his stool with girly forlorn eyes whispering into his trainers ear that he's had enough.

Dubois is injured and can’t fight until Sept, there is no point in even entertaining this fight should go for Wilder who is the next best heavy after Wilder.. you new boxing fans are weird always wanting guys to avoid tough fights. This is sports you gotta prove it everyday

Usyk says he fights for glory, not for money. So, he has to defend his titles as a glorified champion.

36 year old Usyk would be almost unbeatable if he was 10 years younger but he’s not .How much long can he just sit on the sidelines waiting to fight?

Now, I want to say that he should defend the belts:

Dubois is 25, young "champion", likely to come again

Hrgovic is 30, 2016 Olympic class

Joyce is 37, 2016 Olympic class

However, Usyk isn't getting any younger, and if Dubois is injured you know Queensberry are going to use the full 30 days of negotiations.

Go on, I'll bite, why glorified?
