When he let of that blistering combo on Riddick Bowe's nuts.

 

The Tyson fiasco was the best.

 

This is crazy, because I just got his set today. But when Lewis whoop his ass that was a classic first round beating

 

I voted for his biting of Samson since it was the first in a long line of memorable moments. The combo on Bowe's nutsack was a close second...................

"Boxer Andrew Golota is free on bail after being charged with impersonating a police officer during a traffic stop.

Golota, who gained notoriety for quitting in the second round of an October 2000 fight against Mike Tyson, was arrested by Illinois State Police after allegedly showing an officer a badge and claiming he was a New Jersey police officer during a traffic stop.

Will County prosecutors said Golota, 34, received the honorary badge from the police department in Hudson County, N.J., for performing charity work.

An Illinois state trooper, who pulled Golota over Monday for driving past a stop sign, checked with New Jersey police to determine if the badge was legitimate. Golota, who was driving a black Mercedes Benz, reportedly admitted he was not a police officer when the trooper came back to question him, according to authorities.

The boxer spent the night in the Will County jail and appeared before Associate Judge Kathleen Kallan on Tuesday on a misdemeanor charge of attempted false personation of police, a Class A misdemeanor.

that carries a maximum sentence of a year in jail and a $2,500 fine on conviction.

The judge set his bail at $5,000 and scheduled a March 5 court date. Golota posted a $500 bond."

 

And Golota was even winning the fight!

Actually he was winning both the Bowe fights handily now that I think of it.

 

When Brewster hit him with the left hook over his guard, Golota did the Curly shuffle and fell flat on his ass. I almost pissed myself watching the replay.

 

I absolutely loved his maverick attitude raging against Al Certo in the corner against Tyson when he was being told in no uncertain terms what to do..

Even before all this there was a bar room brawl, back in Poland, in which he slammed a bar stool against the guy's head, nearly killing him. He fled the country to avoid arrest, which is how he ended up in Chicago.


Still, impersonating a cop with an honorary badge is just on another level..............

Actually that was not Eddie Cotton, that was referee Wayne Kelly just before the first Bowe-Golota fight. But yeah, it was funny. :yep

 

Another crazy moment was the Golota- T-Rex Sanders fight, almost in its entirety. Many people didn't see it but it was one of the bloodiest, heavy hitting tilts in recent memory. It was good stuff:
