Fantastic step up for Azim. His opponent isn't a puncher but is technically very good. Should make Azim look good but is a notable step up from previous opponents.

Unfortunately, this card looks like it'll clash with Matchroom's show on June 10 at the Wembley Arena, which could be headlined by Fabio Wardley.

I don't see anything wrong with a British Heavyweight title fight headlining a show to be honest.

 

His opponent hasn't fought in almost 18 months, I like azim but they neee to continue matching him with the right type of opponents at the right time.

He still has a lot of flaws that need ironing out before he gets to true championship level.

 

Most likely Wardley. Could be Whyte. Could also be Warrington and they can move the show to Leeds. If Sunny Edwards needs one more fight before Rodriguez, he could headline a card too. Regardless, Wardley is expected to fight on that date and will be chief support at a minimum.

 

Let's hope Wardley don't headline

I really hope Matchroom has patience with Fabio Wardley. Right now, his level is slightly better than a White Collar boxer.

I don't believe he will headline a Matchroom event any time soon.

 

The best performance he's been in has been Molina's acting and dive against him. It was beautiful.

 

This is actually a good step up and solid matchmaking by Boxxer.

 

But is it a solid Sky sports headline?

 

Hopefully it's Wardley vs. David Adeleye. Winner can face Frazer Clarke.

 

I don’t mind. Azim is a serious talent (not being overhyped like other prospects as it seems like the ability is world-class). The issue is that some of the other headliners aren’t the best, but I guess Boxxer are still building their stable.

The main issue is that it’ll clash with Matchroom’s show at the Wembley Arena on June 10. Not good for anyone, not sure who will headline that card.

 

Great idea but would that actually happen? Adelaye is with a different promoter plus despite him calling Fabio out I think if they called his bluff his management would feel he needs wins over better opposition first.
Regarding Frazer though maybe that's an easy one to make wouldn't they want both boxers to get more wins?
Really good fights though.
Didn't Fabio get cut at the weekend though? Early for a fight in June?
