Hope this doesn't sound too argumentative mate but I do see him as naturally talented, especially at heavy. No amateur experience, quick, doesn't look crude like some big guys. You can spot faults, but he's in a fight. Main one is he gets hit too easy but maybe that can partly be corrected. I think he got hit a few times last fight but fired back well. Plenty of bottle. Bet he gets good sparring with Whyte, Babic etc.
But one thing we agree on is the enjoyable bit. I'll not be surprised at all if somebody derails him but I'll bet that guy will be a good heavyweight.

    Not argumentative at all pal

    We all see things differently

Whoever beats him, no doubt they are gonna have to be tougher than him

And Wardley seems tough as old steak

Wardley drunk as **** after his holiday to Rome on fight night extra was hilarious came across really well ,the guy seems quite happy fight anyone and realises the opportunity he's been given seems grateful wants to fight anyone cant knock him for that

as far as fight goes hard to tell Wardley looks vulnerable but has always came back and won has a few decent names on record for stage he's at and tbf Clarke hasn't faced anyone decent in pro ranks and really should be stepping up his activity and quality

I really like Clarke as a pundit and general all-round decent fella, just don't see any "it" factor in him as a 'pro , Wardley has a big asterisk next to some of his wins, due to the propensity of some opponents to apparently hurl themselves onto the canvas, especially if they've had the audacity to actually hit him.

Interesting trade fight nonetheless, and at least to his credit Wardley has expressed the desire to win a Lonsdale belt outright, something rare in these day of intercontinental nonsense straps.

Clarke is a bit dim in and out of the ring. He is already 31 or 32 an doesn’t look in good condition. There’s a lot of pressure on him to win he will be finito if he doesn’t

For once the domestic heavyweight division is fairly competitive and well-invested so he's got the option. Some divisions have no real reason to go after Lonsdale on commercial grounds, which is a shame but just a reality.

That's true, but I'd still like to see some campaign or publicity for it though, mini tournaments perhaps, like a British Super Six, with the BBBofC onboard, so whoever wins the tournament is guaranteed the belt outright at the end, without any of that silly bollocks like "has to be a mandatory" like they did stiffing Gary Sykes out of his belt.

It's sad that such a tradition has fell by the wayside, it would surely be beneficial for both fighters and board were more people to give it more kudos?

    Obviously I'm a hopeless optimist ...........

Fine idea. Who would you put in the tournament?

For HW I'd go for Wardley, Clarke, Adeleye, Dacres, Fisher and Allen.

    I'd go along with that.

Warren would try to get big Moses in there instead of someone like Allen.
