Joseph Obey Joyce vs. Zhāng Zhìlěi & Denzel Bentley vs. Kieran Smith RBR.

Joyce seemed clueless at times.

 

Gets hit by about 10% of the shots Joyce did, and when Zhang starts to keel over from exhaustion in about the 5th round Joshua knocks him out.

 

I'm an Anderson fan but no way is he ready for Joyce.

Anderson is early 20s with mediocre amateur experience. He got the spotlight early because Top Rank is short on HWs but he is at least half a dozen fights away from being ready for Joyce, and I'm factoring in Joyce continuing to age here.

 

neither would they of just stood there and let Zhang Tee off.

I always say, he's way faster than people give him credit for. I cringe every time I see someone calling him slow.

 

I have to say, Zhang is going to be a very difficult fighter to prepare for big tall quick left hand good defense I don’t know how you prepare for that

I give Zhang a lot of credit, and this should be a symbol to other fighters about what happens when you take risky fights and you put yourself in the position to score a big victories, rather than wait around and try to take the best fight at the best possible time

 

Joyce is by no means a smaller HW. This was a dreadnought division face-off. Must have been damn cool to see live.

 

I think the eye came up because his nose was busted. Honestly I think this is Joyce's ceiling. He'd beat Whyte, but Fury and Usyk would box his head off.

 

That one pesky shot. Followed by another 50 flush shots that his eye would have eaten up apparently.

 

He's all wrong for Joyce.

 

Joyce may well have had the edge in volume in all five and a half rounds.


In round four, his many punches were ineffective and Zhang's fewer punches had MUCH more impact and effect.

I tried to score anything remotely close for Joyce.

I had it three - two for Zhang, but 4-1 would have been just as reasonable.
