Tyson in 5. Wlad at his peak was a very great fighter, but Mike's 80s style was just too overwhelming for practically any Champ besides 64-74 Ali, 78-82 Holmes, FOTC Frazier, Foreman, and quite possibly Liston (prime Holy and Lewis have ok chances as well imo)

Wlad KO12. At his peak he was damn near unbeatable at MdQ boxing.

Wlad knocks him out late. Tyson always had problems with the jab n grab and Wlad had the longest jab and biggest grab out of everybody Tyson faced. Steward trained Lewis up to a similar style and we all know how that went.

    Tyson by mid round stoppage.
It won't be easy though, Tyson will likely have to take some shots to close the distance, and will likely find himself tied up by Wlad. But at its core I do not see Wlad having the kind of inside game to mitigate Tyson's attacks, nor does Wlad have the toughness to withstand many assualts from Tyson.

I voted Tyson KO, but if the ref was lenient to Wlad's holding (ala the Povetkin fight) there's a chance Wlad makes it to the 2nd half of the fight unscathed, in which case Mike would be in trouble.

    Wlad didn’t like to fight.

He was comfortable boxing guys at his range.

He wasn’t composed when people put it on him.

    He was very vulnerable.

Mike would have done a psyche job on him before the bell had rung.

A guy who saw the deck 13 times in his career, and who was knocked out 3 times in his 20’s, against 3 non great fighters, could not in any way have be favoured over Mike.

Mike would have jumped on him straight away.

I don’t think Wlad had the physical or psychological strength to have beaten Mike at his best.

If it was an early version of Wlad, then he’d have been more vulnerable, but more aggressive.

If it was a prime version of Wlad, he’d have been very cautious, as he was psychologically scarred from those early defeats.

Either way, Mike would have been a heavy favourite.

As others have said, Tyson has the tools to take out Wlad. However... Wlad is the also type of fighter who troubled Tyson (tall, strong, good jab/right, good footwork). If Bonecrusher can tie up Tyson then so can Wlad and if Tony Tucker can compete with a peak Tyson then so can Wlad. Wlad has quick hands and KO power in both, and some of those jabs and rights will land as Tyson comes in and and they will take their toll, so I'd favour Wlad the longer it goes. That being said, it could all be over quickly and we know what that means.

I’d favor Tyson but only for a very short window in his career

    First post!

You guys don't see this fight becoming similar to the Bonecrusher fight? I'd wager Wlad could have some success with the clinch and jab.

I think 90s Mike would have succumbed to peak Wlad.

80s to me is out of the question. Mike was a force of nature then.
