Could Holyfield survive the 1-2 from 90's Foreman that KO'ed Moorer?

I must say, that moorers mouthguard was split in half to add mah 2 ¢ents.

 

Holyfield would have ate the 1-2 breakfast combo from Foremans grill with ease but if he asked for seconds he probally would have needed a nap afterwards. Imo

 

Hard to say. I do know Holyfield said multiple times that Formean hit him harder than anyone. I remember an interview where he said he asked his corner whether Foreman had knocked out all of his teeth at one point in there fight.

Regarding Moorer, he didn't have the best chin but the only fighters to ever knock him out were Foreman and Tua. Without question two of the hardest punchers ever.

 

Yes and he actually took a few of those combos in their fight and came back pounding on Foreman

 

There is no question in my mind that Holyfield could have taken those shots that knocked out Moorer. Many other heavyweights would have survived those shots, as well.

 

I do not agree. Holyfield would have been decked for sure by that combo. That shot to the chin went right through Moorer's mouthguard and ripped it in half. Did you also not see the blood dripping from his mouth as well when he rolled over?

Foreman didn't pull his punches on Holyfield from the opening bell. He weathered much more overall than did Moorer.

 

Yes. I saw BOTH fights live and I’m telling you what I remember.

 

If Evander took it flush the way Moorer did, then he probably goes down. Holyfield was excellent at minimizing the incoming power through subtle head & neck movement, rolling with shots. Foreman said Evander was dynamic that way.

Whether or not Foreman could keep him down, is a whole different matter!

 

It's hard to say ... Holyfield had a fantastic chin but that shot looked like nothing but apparently was massive ... no way to tell ..

 

He probably took a lot of similar shots than that, he had a more solid chin than Moorer tho

 

I guess he would take both 1-2's within that 5 second time frame while still standing on his feet and managing to move away, and probably survive that moment. But if Foreman could land one more shot, that may be his downfall. If Big George lands anything more flush... i doubt that Holyfield would fully recover.

 

No offense but I dont understand the fetish sum ppl have for fighters to have their chins tested. Game should b to hit n not get hit.


That said as a fair sport I'll add that Holyfield could since we've seen him go to war w Foreman of that time and come out on top.
